Actually, I've spent a few afternoons drinking Scotch on his lawn.  I originally invited him to join me, but had to revoke the invitation after a few disagreeable comments about the weather.  

I figure that with squatters rights, a few more days and it'll be my lawn and he'll have to stay off of it!

You mean that they stopped for long enough to turn the furnace off?  

We can't seem to be within shouting distance of the average high long enough to even contemplate that here!

Well, when you live in a condo building, you are pretty well insulated ... but ... it's going to get pretty cold tonight, so ... not sure
