He still has Arraez and Gordon available.

Gordon isn't an offensive upgrade over anyone in the lineup. He hits .239/.296/.387 against righties and he's literally never had an XBH against a lefty in mlb.

I know most of you disagree, but I miss Astudillo almost every game.

You are right, I disagree. I've never thought the time was right for a quick double play or a swinging strike three on a pitch 6" outside. Or a reserve catcher that can't catch.

Just stop, I know he’s a fan favorite…. truth is maybe he needs to get angry

I have no problem with him getting angry, I would just prefer it's not at me, because I insulted him.

This Monday morning baseball stuff really throws me off ... I mean ... I keep asking ... is it really Monday?

Whatever, what’s he gonna do, make me rich? I could only hope

Things unraveling quickly here. Devers is safe, too bad Urshela couldn't gather himself there.

What can go wrong will go wrong.

The umps need to take a class from NFL referees. Have some pizazz when you’re on the mic!

Their jowls get in the way.

It's always better to pull a pitcher too early than too late...

Really? With the Twins' bullpen?

It’s a complete joke when I make comments about Sano and his fans act like I should be worried because he might come over and beat me up or something.  Let’s get real, he makes some good plays, so he actually can do it. Makes me think he’s not into the game when he makes the bonehead plays, that’s worse than just not having the talent.  He earned that criticism

Smalley has said he's a great athlete, which may or may not be true. He doesn't seem to have great instincts, which might contribute to "bonehead plays" and I don't think he has what they call "soft hands". I've seen too many balls clank off his glove, both at third and first. He made a fine play on the hot smash down the line and the ball stuck.

Don't care about the bullpen. Bundy has proven that he can't get outs the 3 TTO (like most pitchers), and that's including when he was throwing 95 MPH. I'm fine with sending him back out there, but he should've been pulled after the Devers single.

You've seen the Twins bullpen, right?

"a swinging strike three on a pitch 6" outside"

?!?!?!?!

Perhaps you're not aware- Willians Astudillo has struck out only 25 times in his entire mlb career. He's got a career 3.1% strikeout rate. That is a skill you absolutely want in a pinch hitter. He reliably delivered a tough at bat. He struggled when relied upon as a daily starter.

I brought his name up in reference to the idea of Nick Gordon coming off the bench to hit. By comparison, Gordon has a 26.1% career strikeout rate and an OPS about 90 points below Astudillo. It's fair to argue for Gordon's glove and future potential, but to claim Willie was likely to strikeout is pretty silly.
