Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 It's the walk up song for that guy. Huh. That's an...interesting choice.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Maeda must have called out on days they did pitching drills in spring training
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Not pitching great, but 1-1 with a 3.07 ERA coming into today doesn't say "broken". Heck if you're pitching like that on a good team you're 3-0 right now.Let me rephrase...he looks nothing like he did last year.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 I can’t answer that without getting warned If one warning point is good, 2 must be better.
TwinsFanSince86 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 I bite. How bad is he? Couldn't think of a punch line through the tears.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Are you bleeping kidding me? We look like an amateur club
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 The team seems to have catching problems.
TwinsFanSince86 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Rocco's probably planning on some days off and participation trophies. That'll turn things around.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Kenta is brokenHe's at like 33 pitches, Rocco probably should give him some relief now. Want him fresh at the end of the year.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Does Jake Cave have compromising pics of Baldelli? Why do we waste our time with this guy?Maybe ask the FO, not manager?
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 At this rate, the Twins couldn't even make it to Williamsport!
TwinsFanSince86 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 3-1 deficit. Feels more like its 13-1.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Rocco's probably planning on some days off and participation trophies. That'll turn things around. When practice is voluntary and off days are handed out like free samples at the supermarket, this is what you get

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Watch this team just knuckle under, and do nothing on offense the rest of the game. There is no heart, no fight, no fire whatsoever. Just a bunch of schmucks collecting paychecks.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 How many sloppy plays can this team make? Tired of watching the same old crap.
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 I hear the couch beckoning. Perhaps when I wake up I'll discover I've already been sleeping and this has only been a nightmare.

Heck if you're pitching like that on a good team you're 3-0 right now.Last year, Maeda's WHIP was under 1. This year in three starts, it was 1.70, I think that says more about his effectiveness than the ERA.
Twodogs Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Fresh at the end of the year? For what?So he can tutor the September call ups.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 That was a Passed Ball in my book - Jeffers should have blocked it
TwinsFanSince86 Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Hindsight's 20-20 - and, when they made the decision to let Eddie walk, I wasn't too upset. But after seeing Jake Cave and Kyle Garlick and just the overall malaise of this group, I think the front office made a mistake.

This year in three starts, it was 1.70, I think that says more about his effectiveness than the ERA. Last year was also probably an outlier. The guy was unhittable, if Bieber didn't emerge into Randy Johnson, Maeda would have won the Cy Young going away. I don't think regressing a bit from a 2nd place Cy Young finish makes Kenta a problem for this team. It shouldn't. Reminds me of when people started blaming last night's loss on Berrios. That's just nonsense.

Eddie would not have made this team significantly better for the amount of money he was asking
