Oh, I'm sure someone will want him, I just don't think you'll get a guy with 3 years of control left after this year who is also at 3.9 WAR/150 games since moving to NY, let alone multiple pitching prospects to boot.  Look at what the Indians had to settle for in return for Lindor, and bear in mind that Lindor is far more valuable than Donaldson.

Now for some positivity--Buxton has put up as much WAR this year as Mike Trout, despite having only 2/3 of the PA's.  He's better on the bases, on defense, and on offense (by wRC+).  He is striking out less than Trout, and actually has a significantly lower BABIP as well!
