Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 The A's may not be a great team, but the Twins are making them look like the toughest SOBs in the American League.I mean, they seem like a decent team.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Ah yea, let's burn thru the bullpen early. Mr Farrel (sic) can handle the ninth or more.
bighat Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 FINALLY THAT FELT LIKE 10 EFFING YEARSI thought it was the end of the inning to be honest. I was like "why are they still on the field"? This half inning has been just grueling.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 center cut, waist high. That nun from Loyola could have hit that.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Somehow, we are still ahead...
singlesoverwalks Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 What did they put in the clubhouse coffee today?
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 It would still be 10-7 if Donaldson could’ve...grrrr
Darius Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 I’ve reaching the point where I believe this bullpen is so egregiously bad that someone needs to get fired. It’s absolutely unacceptable that they went into the season with this garbage. The FO was brought in specifically for their pitching expertise. I think they may have hired the wrong guy away from Cleveland.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Jeffers is a kid who had a catcher's mitt given to him in Little League. So naturally............ The reports from scouts, and the rankings on boards, say he's good at D (which, we'll see, I guess).
singlesoverwalks Verified Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Dallas Braden on the A's broadcast: "The only way to look at this is Byron Buxton and his speed is a cheat code, it's unfair, he should have to stay put for at least 3 seconds before running for a ball."
cHawk Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Sorry, this roster.Seattle started 13-2 in 2019. They were a bad team. Now you’re saying we’re one of the worst teams in the league because we’re 6-10.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Dumpster diving for pitchers has been a twins hallmark for ages. I said I'd give the FO one more year before starting to judge their "pitching genius"....but they are testing my patience right now.

Now you’re saying we’re one of the worst teams in the league because we’re 6-10.No, because there are gaping holes all over the roster. Not one person in the bullpen has shown they can be trusted. Not a one. Pineda and berrios have been good but outside of that, the rotation is a giant question mark especially now with maeda seemingly regressing. And much has been said already about the lineup. Yes covid has thrown some guys in that shouldn’t be there, but Simmons is about the only guy we’re really missing. also, the Mariners are 11-7 as we speak and don’t look like a bad club overall

We don’t fire management after 17 games because of a bad start.

I get people are disappointed in him, but he's a legit starting OF (whereas the others not named Buxton are not, imo).
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 No lead is safe with this bullpen.
