ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I don't live in Minnesota, has this ever siren thing ever happened before?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 Alright guys, the siren works. But will it work for another 3 minutes?
bighat Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Good grief, this is just embarrassing already.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 The Red Sox hijacked the sirens. They knew it would disrupt Pineda's rhythm.
shortround81 Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Can they really not schedule another time for the tornado drill?? Schedule comes out months ago Weird. Up here we always test the sirens the first Wednesday of the month
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Ultimately, I'm not sure why a hitter is expected to deal with thousands of screaming fans, but a tornado siren is somehow beyond anyone's ability to focus through.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 But will it work for another 3 minutes?Does anybody really care
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 That's the subcurrent of the film. He thinks he can't walk, but he really won't walk. In the end he doesn't walk anyway. The film is under review.I think the message--if he doesn't walk, does it matter if it's can't or won't?--really comes shining through in the crucial segments.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 In 2021 is it necessary to have a WWII era siren to warn people of tornadoes?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 2 strikes with the siren, 4 balls without. Fire it back up!
bighat Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Cure for Garret Richards' 10.82 ERA? A trip to Target Field.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 In 2021 is it necessary to have a WWII era siren to warn people of tornadoes?Towns around my house still have volunteer fire sirens, which go off at every fire call
jkcarew Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Most animated Iv seen Rocco all season. That sh—‘s FUNNY!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Astudillo popped up to the infield. Weird. You rarely see that.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 The film he entered in the festival is about a man who can't walk. A very sad but uplifting film."I cried because I had no cleats, until I met a batter who could not work the count for a walk." -- Helen Keller, baseball scout
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 This team would be 1-11 if they didn't have Cruz, Buxton and Arraez
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Well, I think we might be approaching the annual "Willians Astudillo still isn't a quality MLB hitter" day.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Astudillo popped up to the infield. Weird. You rarely see that.A guy hanging on in the majors with that skill set? Concur.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Towns around my house still have volunteer fire sirens, which go off at every fire call
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Towns around my house still have volunteer fire sirens, which go off at every fire callYeah but that actually makes sense
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 "I cried because I had no cleats, until I met a batter who could not work the count for a walk." -- Helen Keller, baseball scoutA bit of interesting trivia: Ms Keller is the scout who recommended the Twins sign Tsuyoshi Nishioka.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Yeah but that actually makes senseand they are LOUD. like WW2 air raid sirens
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Well, I think we might be approaching the annual "Willians Astudillo still isn't a quality MLB hitter" day.Regression to the mean is such a mean thing to witness.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 the sirens are preferable to the woos though
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Bremer: "Arraez makes a diving catch!" Diving is a very charitable description of what Luis did just now.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 Cave gets that... (too soon?)
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Arraez didn't make it look pretty, but he made the catch.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 the sirens are preferable to the woos though What if the siren was just a recording of woos?
