if  you take out your best hitter for a runner.....who then not only doesnt run but gets picked off....that really puts the nail in the season. Just incredibly poor baseball by a team that just doesn't know how to win in post season. Barring the miracle 9th, have we just seen two of the worst playoff games in ....eh, who knows...when you lose 18 in  a row they're all bad.

 

Buxton had no clue...just like everyone else.

He doesn't even go 3-2...he's not healthy.

I agree. And if he’s not well enough to go on that count, then he shouldn’t be out there.

The Twins seriously need to bring in some sports psychologists come playoff time next year. There is a zero percent chance these players aren't thinking about the playoff losing streak.

The manager is supposed to be the sports psychologist. That’s literally his only job.

too many guys who want to be heroes vs playing as a team.  Fundamental baseball doesn't exist with this group.  Time to flip the switch and move to a youth movement across the board.  Guys not running out ground balls starts with selfish player, but should end with the MGR.  I don't care if you are 40 years old, Rocco needs to be a little bit more of a hard ass

They better get the math team upstairs working overtime over the offseason to come up with some more equations to measure success, because they don't seem to worry much about onfield success.

If Buxton wasn't healthy enough to swing a bat or play the field, Idk why it's fine to potentially put him in a position to slide/dive and create contact. 

 

If he was going to go, why not do that on a favorable count when Cave was at the plate?
