Seriously what are the odds a team faces the same club in 4 consecutive playoff appearances and 6 of 7? Like that’s incredible when you think about it

This has nothing to do with managerial moves.  NOTHING

 

 

We could Casey Stengel on that bench and it wouldn't matter so I don't want to hear about leaving in guys too long or pulling them too quickly.  Nobody is getting the job done

It was a fun season, I feel like 2019 is on life support for the Twins...I have had enough today, but next time at Target Field I will pretend it's game one and TWINS WIN!!!!!

I mean, I would have signed Darvish, or Keuchel, and traded for a starter. Baldelli is usually just taking orders. So the question is a little more complicated than you are making it.

Do the un-Twins thing for once and do whatever it takes to get Cole. Trade Rosario + prospects for another starter. Bring back Pineda as the #4. Sign another bullpen lefty.

The "it'll be different this time!" sentiment was correct in one sense - we went from competitive, heartbreaking losses to the Yankees to one-sided, humiliating losses to the Yankees.

I said it in the pregame. Schoop should've started. He has 3 HRs and a .290 BA against Tanaka. Rocco's managing this series so far has been so bad.

Gone are the days when managers wrote out the lineup cards and told the GMs to go to hell and mind their own business.

 

Most of the posters on here were surprised Arraez started last night, but you bring up a good point about Schoop’s splits against Tanaka, too.

Even with no pressure now, Twins still are totally inept. Sano is lost and Arraez shouldn't be playing sorry. There is a reason he has fanned twice....when he has the best bat control of anyone. His swing has been hampered by his ankle. Adrianza needs to play. Or Schoop. Or Doctor Wu or Rocky Raccoon....I don't care.

I know we all WANTED the Twins to win but I don't think anyone expected them to. Yanks are better in every category post season. Their pitching and their hitting is in gear. Twins pitching has been awful and the hitting is very disappointing. All the strikeouts....these guys are playing to just get it over with it seems.

 

Figured with zero pressure in this game, they would loosen up and just leave it all on the field...but those AB's by Arraez and Sano clearly indicate otherwise
