Absolutely no excuse some of the calls by Diaz sending runners the last couple of days. Guys that have just been toast. They could have had the winning run at 3rd with 1 out. Instead that may have cost them the game and the lead in the division. He really needs to be removed from his role.

I'm not much for beating up the third base coach. I can make an arguement for sending Cron with two outs. 

 

This time... Especially with the view from behind the plate showing the runner rounding third and the ball reaching the cut... and in consideration of one out. 

 

That was a very bad send.

True. Schoop comes up with runners on 2nd and 3rd 1 out. Infield comes in. Schoop probably changes his approach, but that opportunity was denied by Diaz.

Even yesterday with Cron and 2 outs-he was out by such a ridiculous amount, you can't send a guy when the only way he's safe is if the OF throws it to the backstop.

Had no problem with Cron getting thrown out by Puig the other night. 2 out, send him.

 

This, however...the winning run on third with one out? Bad send, if he's out by that much.

I would tend to agree with the two out send , except Cron was out by so much, today’s send doesn’t make sense though, it’s like Díaz has no understanding of the game

The Twins are very good at coming back but not winning it for some odd reason/choke and it seems to almost always suck the momentum out the team/stadium. Hopefully Rogers can get through this..
