Good morning Twins fans and welcome back to another nerve-racking, nail biting game thread! Just to be clear, I looked up the word "nerve-racking" and the way I spelled it is the traditional way although nerve-wracking is acceptable now too. Note to Mods: It would be nice if TD could offer some editorial assistance with our intro's. I know TD only pays me $1,200 for each game thread intro but a little help would be nice for the paltry sum we get compensated for the effort...Just sayin'.

Speaking of money, I have to fly to Las Vegas in a few hours for a work event. I do plan on laying some cash down for the Twins to win the whole thing this year. I just looked up the odds and the Twins are about 14/1 odds of winning the World Series. I think that translates to almost a 6% chance of winning the whole thing. I'll actually take those odds. After the last decade in purgatory I'm an excited fan. Another win today and we're back to a 2 game lead!

I'd like to write more but need to head to the airport shortly and stop at an ATM machine. When I walk off that plane and pull up my MLB app I fully expect to see another win for our Twins. I'll then be making a bee line directly to the sport book at the hotel/casino. Get ready Twins fans! I'm betting this is our year!

Go Twins!!

Watch it. You could easily be replaced by a game-threader from Rochester who gets paid half that and provides his own grammar/spell checker.

If Berrios is the team ace, the Twins need him to come up big in this game, in a big way.

I mentioned this in another thread—the Twins were 100-1 to win the series in the off-season, which dropped to about 75-1 before the season started.

And dropped to 50-1 the week before the season started because that's what I got them at on my offshore site.

Berrios is just another disappointment on the Twins pitching staff. He’s no ace and I wouldn’t be comfortable giving him the ball in any game against a team with a winning record. Ace on this staff has to be Pineda, can’t give it to Jake, he rarely goes six innings. On offense , what’s gonna be done about Buxton, his constant trips to the IL have hurt this team, he needs to quit crashing the wall with reckless abandon.

Meatball Berrios

Mamma Mia! Really, though, that 2nd inning weren't no better. That deep flyball to Kep and hot shot grounder to Sano were off pitches right down Broadway.

Goodness guys... Do we have as a collective forum need to be so bipolar every time something bad happens?

every time Buxton injures himself and costs us wins or every time Berrios has a shaky start

So question of the day... Should Arraez be our leadoff hitter? Not prototypical in terms of walks, but he takes good at bats and has such a high average that the OBP is over .400...
