LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 That’s on Diaz there. He needs to go
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Tony Diaz has made a lot of questionable calls this year. I think Rocco should look for a new 3rd base coach next year.
akmanak Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 That 3rd base coach is terrible. I mean that isnt the first time he has sent someone who has no business going.
bighat Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Baffling send there. Oh well, if that's the worst thing that happens tonight we'll be good.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Here’s where Schoop shines. You were right!
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Here’s where Schoop shines. But not on the bases.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Not to complain about 7-0 but should be 8-0 with a runner on first and one out.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Not true, he's hitting better than ANY first baseman this year. He's basically Pete Alonso. Sano does complicate this for sure, if they want/need to move him to first. Of course, then Garver is your catcher again...... Garver has half as many ABs as the other top hitters in the game. How much is staying at catcher worth, if you give up 250 ABs a year?Mitch spent two weeks on the Injured List and Castro has mostly been very productive, and he'll be a free agent after this season. It would figure that Garver would get many more plate appearances next year, especially with no Castro to share the catching duties. Plenty of questions to ask. Would Garver be as productive with a heavier work load? Would he be more productive if he didn't catch (I thought that would happen with Mauer and it didn't)? Is Garv's hitting this year an anomaly?
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Good thing those base running issues didnt happen in a much closer game..
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Baffling send there. Oh well, if that's the worst thing that happens tonight we'll be good.Yeah, pretty much. I'd be much more annoyed with that if the game were tied.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Not to complain about 7-0 Then don't!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 The 1 hit complete game still in tact
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 No no-no Only one chance to throw a strike on the throw to first.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Just goes to show how much luck needs to be on the pitcher's side for a no hitter or perfect game

Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Let’s go for the old 10 strikeout game. That’s always fun!
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Radio guys are overhyping Berrios performance so far.... only through the order once guysIsn't that the point, though? He's finished four innings. How many times through the order would you prefer him to be at this point? I'd like him to go through the lineup as infrequently as possible.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Huh, Twins released Cody Allen today. Interesting.Narrative. Ruined.
Soft Tosser Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Jose's curveball, you are a friend of mine
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Gurriel just cleared the bases and it's now 4-3 Astros. Gurriel hits bases loaded double. ‘Stros up 4-3.Circus Boy must be deliriously happy with all the updates!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Seen people argue that if the Twins break the homerun record that it won't be legit because of the "juiced" balls. Well all the other teams are playing with the same balls, right? Twins just do it better than everyone else.
