Dyson surprising everyone and showing up in the bullpen to pitch the 9th

They would have to make a corresponding 25-man move ... who goes down?

Not sure I'd want that combo on a tortilla.

The spot in this town for tortas is Las Tortas. I get that Tejana (milanesa and smoked pork chop) with all the fixins.

Let Berrios have a chance at the complete game for God's sake. This coddling crap is so dumb.

It's not about coddling ... it's about running a marathon vs a sprint. But still ... his pitch count isn't overly high and he's cruising ... let him go.

Dinner break, but back now. Thanks for keeping the lead!

What kind of flavored tofu did you have tonight?

I think coddling is a big reason why Berrios was pulled. It's just what Rocco has done all year long. There's no reason why Berrios should be pulled. None. 80 some pitches. Cruising up and down the lineup.

A broken record would be properly attributed in part to juiced baseballs, but the fact that the Twins have hit 10% more home runs than the team with the second most can be properly attributed completely to Twins batters.

Also, how many more homers have the Twins hit than they've allowed? I believe they have the top homer differential in MLB. If the opponents are playing in the same conditions and the Twins have a big home run differential, that says "it's all good"!

Rocco trying to keep Cruz fresh? Berrios had another inning...

Or maybe he just wanted to keep Poppen fresh.

While I agree with you about not pulling him ... it's not about coddling. It's about keeping players fresh for a long season ... but even with that, there was no reason to pull Berrios here.

Poppen really needs to marry a girl named Mary.

No tofu tonight. Fresh corn, my wife's wonderful salad, and Field Roast hot dog!

If you think a vegan hot dog sounds gross, you haven't tried Field Roast. For 15 years as a vegetarian, good sausages were one of the few things I missed about meat. (Others include BBQ, corned beef, and pastrami.) Then I discovered FR at the suggestion of a woman who worked at one of our favorite wineries. Their sausages and frankfurters are excellent.

Okay ... this just in from the rules expert, spycake ...

"NOTE: A player has up to 72 hours to report after being assigned from one MLB club to another. The player counts against the club's MLB Reserve List (40-man roster) as soon as the trade is filed with the MLB Commissioner, but the player does not count against the club's MLB Active List (25-man roster) until he physically reports to the club and is in uniform."

Not a vegetarian per se, but I am a really big fan of Beyond Meat's Italian sausages. Ever tried those?

Not even any soy at all. Tasting them, you think that they must have sneaked some meat in, though.

Nope. But I'll put them on the list to try.

Hope that's not the case ... that would be seriously wrong ... illegal, even. (Right?)

I call BS if you say it tastes just like the real thing.
