Trades won't make this team a playoff team. The only thing that will right now is a change of attitude. They seem scared. They won't be able to trade for 7 bullpen arms.

I was surprised they didn't make a move to get a fresh arm up for today, but yeah I would prefer a fresh Stewart over a 30+ pitch May if those are the options.

Agree on the FO part, but at this point, yeah, I'd rather see Stewart out there than May.

No idea if this is the case, it's probably not, but the bullpen usage in this game feels like the kind of thing a manager would do if he's frustrated when the cards he's been dealt. Rocco clearly wants nothing to do with Stewart, can't really defend that in a vacuum, but when you have a seven-man bullpen everybody needs to work. You can't hide a guy.

It's gotta be a hopeless feeling for some of these batters knowing that no matter how many runs they score here there is always the threat of the other team making them have to score even more to win.
