Any trades made in the next 10 days (I'm becoming more convinced that we won't make any move) need to be 100% controllable pieces.

 

No rentals. No pushing the chips in for this season.

 

It is abundantly clear that this team is going nowhere.

#65 is due to pitch better, and 65 is our favorite number on 7/21/19 (from the Farmers Almanac)

At least May probably won't be available until Wednesday.

 

Then again, that means using Duffey, Littell, and whoever they might bring up from Rochester.

 

But at least they got some cash for Magill and Morin.

Agree on the FO part, but at this point, yeah, I'd rather see Stewart out there than May.

I'm not not convinced they could beat their Rochester, as hard as that that is to believe or even comprehend.

No idea if this is the case, it's probably not, but the bullpen usage in this game feels like the kind of thing a manager would do if he's frustrated when the cards he's been dealt. Rocco clearly wants nothing to do with Stewart, can't really defend that in a vacuum, but when you have a seven-man bullpen everybody needs to work. You can't hide a guy.

It's gotta be a hopeless feeling for some of these batters knowing that no matter how many runs they score here there is always the threat of the other team making them have to score even more to win.
