Diesel Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Breathe in. Breathe out. The Twins have been through a bit of a rough stretch, but I do feel that people are overreacting justttttt a bit. Yes, the Panic!! Thread is incredible, but I really don't think people should be too worried about this team. I'm just going to give a few reasons why to be hopeful about this team. The Twins have three guys at Rochester that would be on the majority of rosters leaguewide in Cave, Astudillo, and Arraez. As much as an injury to a star hitter would suck, the Twins have guys to fill in! The Twins have an impressive and deep prospect list. Through the next few years, many of these guys will turn into really good players, while others will be traded to help our current team! These past 12 or so games have been label as terrible by the fan base, yet the team is still around .500 during this time. If that is a rough stretch, I am scared to know what an extremely good stretch is for this team. Any team can win in baseball once the playoffs start. Look at dome teams that have recently won it all. The 1997 and 2003 Marlins. The 2006 Cardinals. The 2005 White Sox. Once you are in the playoffs, you have a chance to win it all. This team is still one of the best in baseball, and I expect that to continue throughout the year. The bats are still hot, the pitching will eventually be better again, and I promise you this team won't have 5 errors in a game again this year. This team still can win this series, guys. Pitchers: Yusei "Ohtani was great against me too" Kikuchi, SEA 3-4 4.99 ERA Big Mike "You know what you will get" Pineda, MIN 4-3 5.34 ERA Anyone else can chip in some positive thoughts about this team below. Lineups TBA, but someone can post them in the game thread. Let's Play Ball!
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I feel like I just got off last nights game thread. Another game already? I'm exhausted.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 I'll be at today's game! Should be fun. I get to see Big Mike labor for five or six innings. Yea! Of course, after that is the bullpen! I hope the beer is cold and refreshing.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 But what is this thread's name??? (The name "Sam" needs to be officially retired forever.)

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Well, could keep warm through thinking about the 106 it's going to be where I live....No, thinking about warm weather elsewhere does not make one feel warm. It makes one feel even colder.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 But what is this thread's name??? (The name "Sam" needs to be officially retired forever.)"Play it again, Sam" would seem to diverge from original meaning somewhat...

twinsfanstreif Provisional Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 "The Twins have been through a bit of a rough stretch" I like how a bit of a rough stretch constitutes dropping 2 of 3 on the road and not sweeping a series in a while. Most teams would take this all day and we have still managed to have one of the top records in all of baseball on top of that
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Was just wondering... Do band wagons have conductors?
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Let's go! SS Polanco .3391B Cron .276DH Cruz .273LF Gonzalez .2562B Schoop .246RF Kepler .2623B Adrianza .258C Castro .274CF Buxton .271
blindeke Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 The pitching has been held together with duct tape and twine this whole season, so some falling apart should not be a surprise.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Who hits bombas today? No Sanò or Rosario.
snotboogie Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 At the game too. It is a stunning day.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Who hits bombas today? No Sanò or Rosario.Cruz with a majestic long ball to deep left center and Cron with a laser beam just inside the LF foul pole.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 My request of the Twins players today is, no dramatics, just timely hits, strong pitches, and crisp D. That should lead to a W.
