AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Twins start a three game set against the Angels tonight at Target Field. This is game #40 for the Twins this season. So far, the Twins have gone: 6-47-36-46-3. So if my powers of sequence divination are correct, the Twins will win this game to wrap up a 7-3 record in their fourth ten game set. Or go 13-7 in their second score, looking at it another way. On the hill tonight, José Berrios. He’s 3-0 with 20 IP, 4ER, 18Ks, 0BBs in his last three starts. Going for the Angels, leftyTyler Skaggs. His last 3: 2-1, 15.2 IP, 9ER, 14Ks, 8BBs. Lineups: Twins, 25-14Garver DHPolanco SSCron 1BRosario LFMarwin RFWillians 3BAdrianza 2BCastro CBuxton CF Angels, 19-21La Stella 2BTrout CFOhtani DHSimmons SSPujols 1BCalhoun RFSmith CGoodwin LFFletcher 3B Go Twins!

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 I did note the vaunted “three catchers” lineup as I typed it up.
TheMatt Verified Member Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 I feel that Ehire in the starting lineup is bad luck. Not sure how to look up W-L with him in the lineup but seems like they lose more than they win.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Rocco saying schoop is ok to play if needed, seems weird though , all these leftys weve seen, ???????

But among those, he is 6-2 when he entered the game after the first inning. That leaves 7-8 as a starter.

jtkoupal Verified Member Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 Happy Monday, Twins Fans! Some things to think about to start the week: -The Twins play 3 at home with the Angels and then go to Seattle for 4, while the Indians play a quick 2-gamer in Chicago against the Sox before coming home for 4 against the lowly Orioles. -At worst, you would like for the Twins to win 4 games of the 7 this week and for the Indians to, somehow, lose 2 games. The Indians would gain a half of a game on the Twins, but given the opponents, that wouldn't be the end of the world. -Miguel Sanó should return this week. Hope he comes around and puts up 2017 numbers instead of 2018 numbers, something in the middle is probably what we can expect. Time will tell. -The Twins need to average 26,669 fans per home game in order to reach 2,000,000 for the season. Probably a bit of a tall order, but if they can stay in first place, not out of the question, especially if they can get a couple playoff games.

gil4 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 It's officially time to move Buxton up in the orderThat was a nice looking hit to right, wasn't it.
wabene Verified Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 I'm still not ready to move Byron up. If it ain't broke don't fix it! He didn't respond well to moving up in the past and the benefits of another at bat a game are not worth messing this ****e up.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 And....yikes. Berrios does not have his best stuff tonight.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Gonzalez: Super Futility Fielder ... first start. in his career. in RF.I guess that became irrelevant pretty quickly.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Just tuned in at beginning of the 3rd. Berrios looks like Kohl Stewart. Where is the ace? He looks horrible. That pitch to Otani was right down the middle!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Twins just need to put up a 5 spot and give Berrios a little help
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 OK, boys. Let's pick up your pitcher and put some runs across.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Do they keep stats on the results of the shift.?Like when someone gets a hit right where the fielder would have been if they didn't shift, and vice versa? If so.... how do you find it and what is it called?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 14, 2019 Posted May 14, 2019 Berrios didn't look good right from the start, and the Angels have been playing well for a couple weeks now. Runs, boys. in-play, runs!
