Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Thought for sure that was gone. We need about 8 more runs
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Gonsalves isn't pitching at AAA. Is he hurt? It looks like the best alternative to Stewart is Littell. Eew. I'd rather give Mejia a shot.
70charger Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 White knuckle affair with Stewart on the mound.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 I know Stewart is only 24 but his MILB stats do not suggest that he will be successful at the big league level.

MMMordabito Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 I think we've found a couple pitchers for the St. Paul Saints.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Soto lands as awkwardly at Liriano.

I'd rather give Mejia a shot. Yup, Gonsalves is hurt and might return at the end of May. Littell does seem like the best alternative at this point, as not only will Mejia need a rehab period, but if we're using him as a starter, he'll need time to ramp up innings.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Stewart's woes have more to do with his pitching than it did with Houston lineup.... it is becoming apparent.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 If I can't get that song out of my head I'm going to be swearing too. No problem, I've got the perfect fix. You need another 80's song to get in there and duke it out... "KarmaKarmaKarmaKarmaKarma Chameleon!"
wabene Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Yeah I like Mejia more than Stewart but hey so do the TWINS!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Stewart's woes have more to do with his pitching than it did with Houston lineup.... it is becoming apparent. I've been trying to come up with as many things as I can about Stewart that match the projections the Twins were banking on back when they drafted him. So far I've got two... 1. Is a mammal. 2. Appears to favor right hand for most tasks.
wabene Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 if Stewie can get through this one and the next well then we gotta lay off
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 OK. That's enough Stewart for tonight...

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Pitch count would indicate that Stew could at least start the 6th. It is the bottom of the order.
