MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Needed to send Schoop on that double. 3rd base coach should know who's batting next.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Sort of seems like Schoop might've scored on a double. Hard to leave that at-bat with Adrianza.Yeah. I wouldn’t have put Buxton on the bases but my faith in Adrianza in that situation approaches zero.

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Needed to send Schoop on that double. 3rd base coach should know who's batting next. He would have been out by 8 miles. The ball had already gotten into the 2nd baseman by the time Schoop got to 3rd. That ball got out there too quick and came off too hard to the RF for really anyone to have been able to score. I think even Bux gets thrown out at home, but with a closer throw.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Come on Eileen! Poor old Johnny Ray...
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Yeah, I would have pinch-hit Garver for Adrianza there. I guess they need Adrianza at 3B because Gonzalez is still hurt? But boy, I am enjoying Cron. It's great to finally have a 1B who can hit HRs on a consistent basis. And Schoop has looked far better than I anticipated - hey, so it turns out these 1 year deals can work out after all! ...and as I type this, Hildy has given up the go-ahead run. He's quietly been a poor option in the bullpen this season and he was rough last year too. He seems to have 9 lives for whatever reason.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Bah. Come on, Schoop. Glove that and he’s out by a mile.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Time to find something else to do with my day.
70charger Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Hildy doesn't have it today. At this point do you just leave him out there anyway? One more out to go, and the odds of a comeback are already pretty slim.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Twins looking to crush the Tigers' spirits for the rest of the year by following up the 8th inning comeback with another one in the 9th and a win in the 11th.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 can't win em all. it's never been done.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 I wonder what Ted S. is thinking of this "proven commodity" in the bullpen right now.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Hildy moves down the pecking order again in the bullpen. He can't drop much further....he has options and the Twins should think about using them.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 I have no idea how an umpire makes that call on Kepler.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 Kepler not hustling there cost the Twins a chance in this game.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 That's a really bad miss by the 1B umpire there. Not even close.
