Despite the Houston series, overall, the Twins return home after compiling a 4-2 road trip, which, let me see, divide the zero, carry the 1 and, yes, the numbers say the Twins won more games than they lost, which means a winning road trip.

Not only that, but the Twins return home leading the Central division and get to play the team that helped the Twins achieve their winning road trip: Baltimore.

With that, I now need to think "WWRBD" (what would RiverBrian do) about 5 things to think about:

Without further ado, here goes:

1. Hot Dogs or Brauts: which is better?

2. Correct answer for 1: Yes

3. Is it still possible to get peanuts and cracker jacks at the ballpark?

4. First Place Minnesota Twins sounds darn good, doesn't itt?

Pitching for the Twins:

Martin Perez

"Pitching" for Baltimore: ( I use the quotation marks advisedly, because he's sporting a 11.88 ERA. Egads)

Alex Cobb

5. Play ball!

You can't look past teams like this.  Twins are unlikely to sweep the Orioles for the season.   Orioles have played a tough schedule and the only team that has swept them so far is the Twins.    They have beat the Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox and Blue Jays twice each.     A win tonight would be nice.

What did Martin Perez do to get the better weather start? Why would they mess with Berrios' schedule?

Smells of more Falvinelli mad science.

An ex-Twin update:  I live in Arlington, TX and just learned Danny Santana who now plays for the Texas Rangers - and off to a good start so far this year - will be renting the house across the street from us - moving in this weekend.    If you have any questions or notes to pass along to him I will see if I can catch him outside when he is in town.

What types of exotic small animals does he sacrifice - Pedro Cerrano style - to the BABIP gods, and can he explain the four year supply shortage on said animals from 2015-2018?

It is a little strange -- Berrios came before Perez the last two turns through the rotation.

Ball One to Vlad Jr., and they took the ball out of play.

And he just got robbed on strike two.

And he grounds out.

Free game of the day on at bat. I couldn't believe they took the ball out of play!

It's La Tortuga Night at Target Field, and Astudillo is absent from the lineup. Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing in operations?

1964:

KANSAS CITY, May 2 (AP) —Tony Oliva, Bob Allison, Jimmie Hall and Harmon Killebrew tied a major league record with four consecutive home runs in the 11th inning and powered the Minnesota Twins a 7‐3 victory over the Kansas City Athletics tonight.

The odd thing about Rosario's power is that he barely uses his hips at all. Most guys swivel their hips to help propel the bat, but Rosie just steps forward slightly, then launches his hands forward. His wrist snap is amazingly powerful.

Yes?

No?

Maybe?

I'm busy watching the NFL draft right now, but wow, 3 HRs in the 1st inning! I wish we could play the Orioles more often!

It doesn't sound like Baldelli and the coaches give a crap about the promotional days. It's a shame, but a reality for a modern coaching staff.
