How would Paddington look in a Twins uniform? Not very big, so endurance may be an issue. But if we only need him to open, he could be a good fit.

The fact that there is a convention for MLB mascots is disconcerting. That said it does open up some possibility for Joe's continued Twins employment. Hopefully his girls aren't afraid of bears? Butt really? So they send the people there? Or just send the costume and fill it with someone from the temp agency?

Why is it in baseball we have to wait for weeks on end for anything to happen in free agency? In other sports like football and basketball top free agents sign within hours of free agency opening up.

Take a page out of other major sports' playbooks baseball. We want HOT free agent news, and we want it now!

The official beginning of the Hot Stove season is when the AFL-season ahs been completed, all rosters have been cleansed of players and reset with additions, and the Rule 5 happens as owners met for the Winter Meetings, this time the first week in December. You have some action then between the holidays with everything falling into place as January rolls around.
