Meh, my editor will fix that. I been meaning to write Joe Ms go aMuck and take over the thread intro for a while. Now i don't know what to do... 5. A game thread at rest tends to remain at rest until acted on by an outside force. That is why they are better at Target field. Please be impulsive here! 4. Joe Malarki: Hey McCarthy, whatya doin' in that old champaign bottle? Joe McCarthy: Shhh! You'll spoil the surprise! Malarki: Everyone has gone home. Mauer said he has a headache or something. If i had a nickel... Anyway, this place has been empty for a few days now. I'm just cleanin' up a bit, as a few of us Joe shMoes were going to have a picnic. Oh wait. What kind of champaign is that? Citris flavored? Low carb? Get out of there now! Quit hogging the Lime Light. McCarthy: All yours, if you happen to have a towel... 3. Their team: Perennial division favorites these days. I suppose i shouldn't surprised that they are leading the division. If we were in their place would we rub it in our faces? Hope we'd be better than that. 2. Our team: I've lost count of how much bad news we have endured lately. I only got so many fingers. It gives us a chance to see lesser stars shine. 1. Bottom non-Trump news story: Newton discovers gravity. Watch out for falling things. Besides rain, that is. Anyway... Now we hopefully we can figure out which way is up. Cleveland P. Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Expectations are through the roof now. Escobar has to hit no less than four homers. And Rosario will make all 27 outs barehanded.
Danchat Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Thanks for covering for me on such a short notice, sampleSizeOfOne. I'll be back for tomorrow's game thread and I'll be preparing for the return of a synchronous Strat-o-matic Twins game. Anyways, let's go Twins!
OTPS300 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Why isn’t Sano playing? Here's what LaVelle tweeted. "Bauer. Plus he could use a break"
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 This is a good litmus test for Lynn. He pitched considerably better in May (lets be honest though, it couldn't get much worse than his April) but the three good games he turned in were against KC, Detroit, and the Suck Sox; all of which are admittedly awful teams. His starts against LA and STL were reminiscent of his April outings. Lynn doesn't have to apologize for beating up on bad teams, but a decent/good, or hell even average performance against a team that isn't looking at a potential 90+ loss season would be a nice nudge in the direction that his signing wasn't a poor one.

Jerr Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Sano needs a break??????????????????????????????
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Sano needs a break??????????????????????????????That was my first thought. And my second through infinity thoughts also. I don't understand this, he was only a couple thousand games, give or take 600 more short of Cal Ripkens streak. Now he has to start all over.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Oh, yay. I get to listen to the FS1 studio crew now. *eyeroll*
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Sano is just back from injury. It's possible he's not fully recovered. Sure would be nice to have his bat, though.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Sano is just back from injury. It's possible he's not fully recovered. Sure would be nice to have his bat, though.Definitely a possibility but... designated hitter...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Author Posted June 2, 2018 So... Are there more shoe or sock comments to get us started off on the right foot?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Author Posted June 2, 2018 Definitely a possibility but... designated hitter...How might he do as a possible pinch hitter? Then, he's potentially any spot in the lineup...
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Sano needing a break does seem weird However, I saw he was like 2-24 with 11K's vs Bauer.

Sure would be nice to have his bat, though. If he is not fully recovered that is one thing. I get giving the guy a break but balance that against having a 3 game stat line of 5-14 with 7 RBI. If its me managing the team or if I am Sano I am thinking this is finally what we have been waiting for and ride it until an ofer and then give him a break.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Lynn pitched to two batters and didn’t walk either one. Whooooo a streak!

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Author Posted June 2, 2018 The hardest thing to do in baseball: Walk Eddie Rosario on 4 pitchesThat is how good Cleveland pitching is, eh?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 And down 3-0 to next hitter.Because you jinxed it with your previous comment ... it's your fault. All of it.
