Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Gotta go charcoal. Only more proof that he can't do anything right!Charcoal grills aren’t allowed in my building.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Oh, for God's sake, what has mlbtv done now? Suddenly, it's a message - "your browser does not allow auto-play video from mlb," and shunts me to a radio broadcast. Oh, and of course, there's a helpful "learn more" button at the top, which takes you to... Their useless tech issues faq page, none of which are q's about what they're dumping on me for. What is up with them now? And how do I fix this latest covfefe of theirs?
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 My pleasure.Hope i did okay pinch hitting as it were. We'll call it a ground rule double.

Platoon Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Instead of a portable charcoal grill for the back yard, I bought one of thos heavy steel ones the county and state parks use, and buried the mounting pipe right off the ground level deck. Stand on the deck and grill. Works nice, never have to put it away in winter, and it won't blow away in the wind. A few weeks ago one of the posters said him and his wife were out on the grill, grilling something. This would have held both of them nicely! . I
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Gotta go charcoal. Only more proof that he can't do anything right! No, pellet grill are the way to go. You've never had ribs until you've had some done on a pellet grill.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Make one more good pitch, and you get 2-3 days to rest that knee, buddy
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Ouch. My knee hurt seeing that replay.

Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Didn't realize it was an early game today and tuned in just in time to see the Twins clobber the Indians. Lance Lynn on the mound, even.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Well done!I have special powers.

Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Gave the somewhat hot Indians a losing streak to think about. Big win there. LaMarre: not hitting .400 anymore, but playing a pretty good role these last few games.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Lynn's ERA is down to and almost respectable 5.46. Amazing what a couple of good outings will do.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Was it more fun when he was bad, and you could go do something else for the night? No, because it was akin to a train wreck in that I really couldn't avert my eyes from the disaster.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 This is why it’s too early to say it’s over and ask who should we sell. The AL Central is a weak division and we can win it.

We've already been swept by the Rays, the Mariners, and the Yankees...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Yeah, but all the other teams in the AL except for Baltimore and Texas can probably beat us. We've already been swept by the Rays, the Mariners, and the Yankees...So? That’s not a guarantee of being swept in the playoffs. Oh I’m not saying the win yesterday and today indicate we’re World Series bound; that would be laughable. However, we are in a weak division and we could still be division champs. With solid pitching in 5 and 7-game series, it’s also not so far fetched that we could make a decent showing in the playoffs. It’s just too soon to count us out and start selling off pieces. If in a month we’re buried in the central standings, then of course. In a weak division I think the decision to sell shouldn’t be made so lightly or so easily.

I am not much of a "I just wanna get in the playoffs guy". I want a fair chance to do some damage. And if the powers that be get a chance to make a move that would be controllable, and greatly improve us in the next three years, while we are still muddling around .500, I would look seriously at it. I know that's a narrow caveat, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in this years basket either.

Of all the major sports, baseball is second only to hockey for the possibility of the "inferior" team, on paper, to overcome the odds with a short hot streak of play.
