gocgo Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 If Kepler had been running could he have broken up the DP?No. sharply hit right at kinsler who was shifted a bit towards 2nd..
kydoty Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 If Kepler had been running could he have broken up the DP? Had Kepler been running, he would've ended up at 3rd, cause Kinsler would've been covering the bag instead of standing right where Sano hit it.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Dozier trails Springer by three in leadoff homers. A lot of work to do.

I think it would have been a double play even if he'd been running. Darn Sano, hitting the ball too hard.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Were there bottomless mimosas at breakfast today, Boof? Sadly my high school doesn't provide such
gocgo Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Really interested to see Gibson today.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 What are you talking about? April 11, 1954 was the day that Chief retired at the ripe age of 50! That's the key to living a long life I hear..... If Chief was around to roam with the dinosaurs ... and he was ... he's a bit older than that.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I think Dozier just likes hitting home runs against Detroit. Maybe he'll hit another this game.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Were there bottomless mimosas at breakfast today, Boof? You kids. Bottomless mimosas are ok, I guess. I like the place with bottomless waitresses.

I'd think that the 2B would cover 2nd with a pull hitter in Sano at the plate to keep the SS on the left side of the infield.

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Hopefully Blue is consistent with his zone and Gibson gets those same pitches. That said, Castro as a catcher is walking a very fine line with questioning the strike zone.

woolywoolhouse Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Factoids from Blyleven: - Today is Gibson's 100th major league start'- Dozier is now tied with Jacque Jones for most leadoff homeruns for the Twins. Yay learning!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Are you saying questioning the strike zone is...the Danger Zone?!? that's not the song I wanted stuck in my head.....
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 that's not the song I wanted stuck in my head..... Fun fact: did you know the lyric is not "I went to the Danger Zone," but rather "Highway to the Danger Zone"?

Sano is right handed, so Kinsler would've covered.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2017 Author Posted April 12, 2017 that's not the song I wanted stuck in my head..... It could be worse.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Fun fact: did you know the lyric is not "I went to the Danger Zone," but rather "Highway to the Danger Zone"? That gives the song (and the movie) much more depth and layers. (I did not know that and its not like you did not hear that line 155 times during the song. Were they any other lyrics?)
rghrbek Verified Member Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 santana bunting here? To answer my own quote yup, although it looked like for a base hit, but no doubt he was encouraged. Actually I guess because it's DanSan, I am ok with it. Anyone else and I would be annoyed as heck.
