So I'm at work, look up the boxscore and am pleasantly surprised to see we're up 3-1, but the bases are juiced with two outs. Leave for 15 seconds and we're down 5-3. My immediate thought: That escalated quickly.

Circus Boy gives Circus Boy a Circus Boy update.

Actually with the online feed being so flaky, some non-trolling, good old fashioned Circus Boy updates might not be a bad idea.

I was tired of finding out James McCann grounded out softly and Dozier is batting now and the game is still 0-0 pure, maybe I should stay in that moment. :)

Why are we reviewing this call?  Wasn't even close!

That said, poor taste to play J Geils Band in the stadium the day after his death?  Too soon?

It was always too soon to play J. Geils Band ... Centerfold. Sheesh.

2-3 months more, I'd guess.

If they actually had the guts to cut bait on Gibson that soon we'll all be rejoicing over the change in attitude that signals for the Twins. I'm hopeful but don't necessarily expect it.

Rookie mistake - I should have known better to make a sincere request on a game thread :)

Twins are losing 5-3. Shockingly, DanSan has no hits.

this has been your Mike Sixel update (which isn't as cool as circus boy)

Right about now, someone needs to explain to me how Gibson and Santiago aren't the same guy again.

The real answer to your question: Santiago isn't afraid to pitch up in the zone? (I've not been able to watch Santiago a lot but it appears to me he does pitch up in the zone better than Gibson.)

Twins finish with 4 walks and 4 hits.  Love it that they are walking as much as they have but wish the bats were not as dormant...

Until Gibson stops nibbling and trusts his fastball, it will be more of the same.  I'm sure he looks at it as one that got away.
