A week or so ago Tom Froemming wrote a piece about how "The Waiting Is The Hardest Part" http://twinsdaily.com/topic/24570-article-the-waiting-is-the-hardest-part/ when it comes to the Brian Dozier trade and trade rumors.  Which got me thinking (since I am bored at work with little to so this Christmas week) what other songs correspond to what has happened in the Dozier Rumors.  And boy there are some good songs to tell the story of Brian Dozier Rumor Mill this off season.  Here is the list:  Feel free to add your songs.

 

1) Tom Petty - "The Waiting Is The Hardest Part" for obvious reasons.  Tom explained it in his piece. https://youtu.be/uMyCa35_mOg

 

2) Fleetwood Mac - "Little Lies" As I have said before I believe DaveW is telling the trutch.  That being said, I hope his source is being truthful to him.  Otherwise his source's little lies caused the largest thread in TD history with little to back it up.  https://youtu.be/Xr9Oubxw1gA

 

3) JoJo - "Leave (Get Out)" At this point most of us want some action on the Dozier front.  I don't necessarily want him to leave.  But in a sense, just make a big 'ol blockbuster and leave! https://youtu.be/ggWyUEuGcWY

 

4) Boyz 2 Men - "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye" Even though we want this trade to happen and know it's for the best, it is could be hard to see him go.  So this song will fit perfectly in the near future hopefully. https://youtu.be/VastXQ_hPb0

 

5) JoJo - "Too Little Too Late" Some people are concerned the Twins are pushing their luck and bye the time they make up their mind with the Dodger offer it might be too late.  I hope this song is not part of the offseason playlist. https://youtu.be/mEgk2qM7kxU

 

6) Bob Seger - "Beautiful Loser" I really hope this song isn't part of the plan.  This would mean that the Twins got shafted and end up with a Kevin Mulvey type deal.  https://youtu.be/U86kmChYxoY

 

7) Jagged Edge - "Where the Party At"  If deal gets done with the pieces we want a few of us might be singing this throw back while throwing back some Bacardi.  (Do they still make Bacardi?)  For me this is De Leon, Alvarez + friends. https://youtu.be/9UCY_U4QwqI

 

So that's the Songlist of the Dozier Drama this offseason.  And Yes, there are 2 JoJo songs in the list.  You're welcome Vanimal.

What is slow clap? A good thing? Or ...

Ok. I looked it up. I deserved that.

I meant it as- "A gradual building of applause, usually starting with one person clapping slowly, and ending with an enthusiastic standing ovation. Generally shows approval for an underdog in a come from behind victory or after losing with pride intact."
