VERY BIG Happy I Like It GIF this constant injury issue ENOUGH...you cannot be a good team when your STAR player only plays in about half of possible games since his arrival in 2015. They need to plan accordingly in 2027. I am not trying to insult him by stating that he is faking it whatsoever, but how anybody can rely on him performing at a solid level...makes no sense if you want this team to succeed. ..including the FO, owner, manager, fans.

Did he make it from 2015 to 2018 without getting hurt or did you run out of characters?

Then why not a HBP?

Because he swung at the pitch.

Swinging at a pitch cancels out HBP. Would have e been a foul ball if it hit the bat.

That's true.  The defense is likely better with Kreidler in CF and Clemens at 2B.  Our luck will be they move Lewis to 2B and play Caratini at 1B, which will negate the defensive advantage we get by playing Kreidler in CF.

As for answering your other question, it will really depend on what their plan for Jenkins is.  If he was supposed to be a September callup, then calling him up to replace Buxton a few days early is a no brainer.  It does require a 40-man move, but they already DFA's Jackson and he cleared waivers once.  He could do it again.  If they are hell bent on not adding him to the 40-man, then you're likely right that they will call up Gray, although he has only played 6 games at 2B this year.

Why are they worried about the 40 man? They are still rostering Orze, Woo Suk Go and several others who will be gone by November 1st.

If you swing at the pitch and don't make contact with the bat it is a strike even if it hits you.  The swing takes priority over the hit by pitch.

We're you also oh-fer like Buck?

It is kinda easy to move on…. but such is life. 50-60% is what it is….it’s like we hardly knew you (or what you could have been)

I quickly copied and pasted this....I posted detailed stats yesterday on Buxton after researching this whole thing...after seeing him limbing in person in san Diego last weekend ...multiple times ...i should have taken a video (he was playing hurt,,,it was obvious). The stats prove that he has missed about 45% of his games since his arrival. Research it...counting on him for the future is utterly ridiculous. THe fact that he rejoined the Twins without going to ST PAUL first (which apparently, he has the option to do) was wrong.

IDK why they are worried about the 40-man move.  There are plenty of players that they could DFA to bring up Jenkins.  Unless there is something about his game that they feel he still needs to work on that we somehow don't know.  Only thing that truly makes sense is they think there is some timeclock manipulation game they can win by not having him come up at all this year.  One other thought, although just as silly, is that they know that Jenkins will be their player of the future, but they are more unsure about players like Roden, E-Rod, Wallner, and others and want them to get playing time to see what they need to do in the offseason, whenever the offseason will actually begin.

I was sitting at the bar in my favorite hangout this afternoon, when a penguin walked in and grabbed a seat.

The barkeep walked over and the penguin asked him "Hey we're looking for my brother....has he been in here?"

"Dunno," said the barkeep. 'What's he look like?"

And what does the penguin's brother look like? The diversity in the modern family unit is eye opening.... Assuming you have lids.

I still believe they've been trying to keep him off next year's 40 man.

If there's a lockout anyone on a 40 man wont be playing anywhere.

They might have had their hand forced tonight.

Elvis has entered the building.

Fun fact about Dolly Parton and Elvis... Elvis tried buying the song rights to this song:

But Dolly said no, and once Whitney Houston had an angelic performance of this song she passed it along to her.

FWIW - That's not a thing.

I mean, the Twins have never done this in the history of their team. But some people want to believe it anyway.
