  1. Shelton, leaving the pitcher in too long. Again.
  2. He's shown that he doesn't have the arm for RF and every team knows it. LF maybe, but not RF or CF.
  3. The PR is the team using him as the face of the team. They sell thousands of jerseys with his name on them. His face is everywhere. Except on the field. "Best players" play more than half the games.
  4. His PR far outweighs is actual contributions on the field. But anyone who points that out gets blasted.
  5. Probably bring in Gomez to walk the first batter.
  6. He got hit in the butt last night. IL looming.
  7. Why does Gomez have to walk the first batter he faces every time?
  8. And you "play catch". You don't have a catch".
  9. Heard of him but haven't seen him. What are they waiting for?
  10. They need to develop/trade for an everyday CF. People should just stop counting on Buxton being a major part of this team going forward. His history has shown that he just can't do it and never will. Over his total career he's averaged about 80 games per year. That's a part time player, not someone you can build a team around. They need to move on from him.
  11. I don't think they'd get much for him. Other teams have scouts too. Buxton's history of injuries is well known.
  12. It's basically been "retired" for a huge part of 12 years.
  13. I don't think you could make any comparison at all between them. Hrbek was a solid, dependable player for many years, Buxton was spectacular in very short spurts between injuries.. The Twins made Buxton the public face of the team because there wasn't much else to choose from. His PR vastly exceeded his actual contributions.
  14. Keaschall's weak arm is the big problem. They can work with him on other aspects of playing the outfield but there's not much you can do about his arm. He's got this weird almost sidearm motion that I don't think he can do anything about. That's just his natural throwing style. I would keep Larnach. He's become a decent LF. I wonder why they don't try him in RF and put Keaschall in LF where his arm wouldn't be such a liability. As for Buxton, he can't be counted on as anything more than a part-time player. He's only played over 100 games 3 times in his 12 year career.
  15. As Pat Reusse says - he's got the bad skeleton. One wrong move and he's hurt.
  16. Will there be a 2027 season? I heard that players on the 40 man roster are locked out if there's a strike. Can't play in the minors.
  17. Didn't want to answer for the 6th inning.
  18. Most over-hyped Twin ever. Well, maybe after Sano.
  19. Just got back from the game so haven't read any of the comments. I place this loss 100% on Shelton for the 6th inning. Not having a lefty warmed up with the 4 LH batters at the top of the order coming up is just managerial malpractice. Kremer obviously lost the strike zone and should have been pulled after Schwarber walked. But by the time Funderburk was ready the damage was done. It put Philly right back in the game. This was a huge nail in the coffin.
  20. Keaschall is a problem. His arm is a huge liability in the OF and his glove is a huge liability in the IF.
