  1. Same with Lewis. They've learned how to pitch to him and he hasn't adjusted.
  2. I still remember his walkup music: Give me some men Who are stout-hearted men Who will fight For the rights They adore
  3. Interesting stats: High school: Around 0.0277% of high school baseball players will make it to the majors. College: Around 0.37% of college players make it to the majors. Drafted players: Approximately 17.6% of drafted and signed players go on to play in the majors. Minor leaguers: About 10% of minor leaguers make it to the major leagues, some for just one game. First round: 66% make to the majors Second round: The success rate drops to about 51% Third round: The success rate drops to about 40%
  4. I think his very early success (grand slams) went to his head and he began to think of himself as a superstar when he wasn't. He seems to see himself as the voice of the Twins organization and the leader of the team when he hasn't earned it on the field. That said, they should sign him to a 3-5 year contract and hope he develops a more mature attitude about himself. The shelves are bare and he's the best they've got.
  5. Like failing to bunt the ghost runner to third in the last game.
  6. Because the Saints had such a good season?
  7. Three playoff teams - Cincinnati, Milwaukee and Cleveland, had lower payroll than the Twins.
  8. At least he makes up for it with his .188 BA.😄
  9. Chris Gimenez, a former catcher and first baseman, hit a home run while listed as a pitcher for the Minnesota Twins on September 2, 2018. After pitching an inning of relief against the Texas Rangers, he came up to bat in the top of the ninth inning and hit a home run.
  10. He's begging to be traded. Can't blame him.
  11. They need to have Paul Molitor teach him how to run the bases.
  12. They should shut Ryan down too. He seems to have lost interest. It's easy to understand with a minor league lineup behind him.
  13. Being one of the highest performing Twins isn't a very high standard.
  14. I've been a Twins fan my whole life. Through good teams and bad teams. I'll keep going because I like baseball, win or lose, If you want to call me names, have at it if it makes you feel better.
  15. Tonkin is not a major league pitcher. But they just keep bringing him back.
  16. I'd like to see Duran's stats when he comes into a tie game. Seems like he always gives up a run.
  17. Coaches at all levels are increasingly forcing kids to specialize in one sport year round. We used to play whatever sport was in season.
  18. I predicted he'd be hurt again in two weeks after his last IL so he lasted a little longer than that.
