Time is of the essence, boys. Need to start stacking wins.

I need to do some research but IIRC, it was the 2001 season and the Twins started off on fire and were holding off Cleveland heading into August and it was the Tampa Bay Rays that proved to be their Kryptonite. At the time, the Rays were awful. Hopefully we don't look back at 2026 and say, but-for the Royals, the Twins could have grabbed the third wild card spot.

From fangraphs... About the guy they traded for this guy....

Physical outfield prospect with contact/power blend. Hit his way out of rookie ball prior to trade. Looks like a draft prospect who goes in the pick no. 30-40 range.

Please, Twins: Don’t make me spend all day again at Minnesota Farmfest only to watch terrible baseball tonight.

I have not been down there is a long, long time, how is the show now compared to the nineties?

This is year 10 at Farmfest for me. Always depends on the weather. We lucked out  this year, for sure. Beautiful day. Pretty busy today with the governor and senate panels,

Means nothing without a Twins win tonight though.

twins need to lock in for the rest of this road trip. It's already going to be a long rest of the season battling for the division/last wild card spot with a pretty tough stretch of games coming up

The bum went 0-4 with a GIDP. Already a bust!

There is a big jump from FCL to  A ball.  He is still young and he has a strong athletic build.  I still think he was a 25-30 prospect in our system, but it was with a high ceiling.   When thinking about Amick or Agbayani.  Neither of those have a high ceiling.  They may have a decent season or two,  but at best they are a 10 WAR player over their first 6 years of playing and the odds of that are small.  I am just glad it was him and not Fragoza.

  Kreme  em

Kremer actually faced Kansas City in his last start. Somebody got Kremed and it was not the Royals. Kremer went 4 innings and allowed 8 ERs while striking out 4. Yikes. Hopefully he can bounceback today.

Joe not being forthcoming?

Bobby N reports:

Joe Ryan has returned to Minnesota to be evaluated for a lower back injury, manager Derek Shelton said.

Ryan will meet with Dr. Chris Camp.

Or maybe this is why they traded for Kremer because they knew something was not right.  Not every ache or pain turns into an injury.  Maybe they knew there was discomfort and were still trying to figure how to treat it.

The road is even more difficult without Buxton and Ryan. Might have to shut them down for the month of August and hope they come back strong in September

Krispy. Love it. Or get Kremed. The promotional possibilities are endless.

Man, I hope you're right! Offense has been bleak lately.

A 3-1 win with Kremer starting.. that would be damn impressive

Joe Ryan potentially hurt.. now Hunter Greene on IL. Bet some team is happy they didn't spring for both of them.

He faced Detroit last outing, he hasn't faced KC this year.  Still hasn't been good this year.
