The Royals don't usually do well at Target Field. You can throw usually out the window this weekend..

An unexpected transaction.. C Javier Vazquez is on the ten day IL with a shoulder infection retro to August 6th. Anyone else you'd wonder if the Trojan helmet gave him tetanus. C Jhonny Pereda called up from St Paul.

 

Couldn't go more than a week without a Jhoan or Jhonny on the team..

We have seen what Gasper has and it is clear he doesn't belong up here.  And remember the last time he caught he almost broke an umpire's arm when he missed a pitch.

Put Clemens at first base here and it's a decent look at what could be the infield next year. I'd like to see that play out.

This weekend will be the first time someone not named Jeffers or Vazqy will start at C for the Twins since 2022.

He has pretty good minor league on base numbers.
