I know he has been pitching well in the Mexican league and giving his team innings. At some point an MLB team will give Bauer a chance. Inless there is an unspoken ban. Just don't see the Twins franchise being that team. Twins could really use another starter.

You think he is in Mexico? What else do you "know" about him?

I've seen videos on YouTube of him Bauer  pitching for the Rojos of Mexicio city in the Mexican league. Im not advocating for the Twins  to sign him. I just said MLB scouts likely watching, and it is possible a MLB team will take a flyer. With a bunch of injury's in MLB who knows there may be an owner that rolls dice.  Im well aware of the scandal,  court cases and SA allegations and that MLB suspended him. He did seem to be actively pitching in a professional league in Mexico over the winter. Unless those videos are fake.  Back in Japan pitching with Baystars so seems to be making tax free money. At 34 years old I'm not signing him if I'm the Twins. Could see the Rays or Cubs possibly roll the dice. I doubt it would cost much to buy out or trade with the Japanese team.  I mean there could be just as much as chance the Savannah Bannanas sign Bauer as a stunt.

The Twins can lose every game 1-15. Until the offense can score I’ll never blame the pitching. If Bauer were on this team, maybe we’d lose every game 1-10, but the team would be more worthless.

The twins are in desperate need of starting pitching. I don’t believe Pablo is coming back this year and now Morris is also on the IL - it seems like a perfect time to give a former Cy Young winner a chance back in the majors.

Jack Morris is on the DL?

We know we've truly hit rock bottom when a new Bauer thread is started.

I need an ‘Oh ffs!’ reaction button.

I can bring back the dead horse icon.

It will just get misused. This, however, is the perfect time for it

Even if we're being extremely generous to Trevor, he still comes with a necessary price of having to facilitate challenging conversations about rough sex and sexual consent. The Twins haven't even facilitated a real discussion about Kirby Puckett's fall from grace in his post playing days. Fat chance they'd take the Bauer bait.

Moreover, Trevor Bauer is past his prime. He's 34 and not even the best pitcher on the Yokohama Bay Stars. He wouldn't do much to help the Twins. And his clubhouse presence would be worse than Josh Donaldson.

I really have no need to discuss Bauer, I mean why would a 4th place team be going after an aging veteran might as well bring up a young rookie to see what he can do for the future.  Or if need be bring up our own aging veteran Dobnak to finish out a 4th place campaign.  But the part of your response that really made me think a little bit was when you mentioned facilitating challenging questions about rough sex and sexual consent etc....  Then I thought to myself, we live in a global society with global news stories.  I don't see a bunch of articles being written in Japan about Bauer and his sexual history.  I wonder why the Japanese people and press isn't all over him about these issues?  You know they know about them?  I mean whether he pitches well or poorly they don't seem to be writing articles about his past accusations.  Why is that?  Are the Japanese people just that oblivious to how bad of a person Bauer is?  Or maybe it's actually a 180° flip and maybe the Japanese people are just that much better than us?  Maybe their press also has a button where they decided to quit beating a dead horse?  Also please don't bring up the Kirby Puckett drama anymore.  I don't want a younger generation to actually look into the stuff he did off the field away from baseball and then end up tearing down his statue which celebrated the things he did on the field.

He was demoted after his last appearance lol.

Looks like father time is catching up to him.  2 years ago it looked like he did pretty well in Japan, then obviously the Mexican league is another step down from that.  Now he is back in Japan and his ERA is in the 4's. Kinda looks like he'd get lit up in the MLB.  I'd say his next step would be the independent leagues.

Trevor Bauer pitched this year for the Yolohama DeNA BayStars of Japan's Central League but reportedly was demoted two weeks ago after a dugout altercation:

The demotion was the second this season the 34-year-old Bauer, who had a 3.96 ERA in 17 starts with the BayStars. Bauer was not on the roster when I attended a game in Yokohama on April 9.

Bauer was back pitching Wednesday for the BayStars, taking the loss in a 4-3 game:

I started a Bauer to the Twins thread when the Twins were in contention and it made sense.  Now it doesn't because we are not in contention.  I feel it is necessary to point out the accusations made against him were found to be completely untrue.  (Did she end up being charged with a crime because of how bad her lies were?)

Anyway the guy was never convicted nor charged with anything and what is being done to him is flat wrong.  He is the biggest "me too" victim ever.
