The Great Hambino Verified Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 The most effective 8th inning reliever this year has been Willi Castro
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Sands is not the guy you want in the 8th inning, and Brock Stewart isn't pitching in rehab games yet... the bullpen is shallower than we thought. At least Varland has looked serviceable lately, but Alcala (who was the 7th inning guy last year) isn't going to help anytime soon. Richie the Rally Goat and BrokenCompass 2

BrokenCompass Verified Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Unforgiveable considering the spark and fire shown in this game with Keaschall performing well on national TV. A 3rd straight win could have turned things around. You can't throw away games like this, they just break a team. Another example by the way of the Twins giving away at bats late in a game they seem to have thought they'd wrapped up. That awful Astros game they stopped trying when they were up 7-1 and it came back and bit them, too. Blow it up. More Keaschall, less everyone else. Twins_Fan_in_NJ, IndyTwinsFan and Cave Bear 3
Irishman Verified Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Please send Griffin Jax back to St, Paul. He is god-awful. I never like him. Cave Bear and BrokenCompass 2
exeoud Verified Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Not sure how Jax can even look his teammates in the eye at this point. Team would legitimately be .500 without him. And Falvey and co. continually get burned buying high on relievers yet they refuse to sell one at peak value. IndyTwinsFan and knothole61 2
OvertheHill Verified Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Here’s my bold prediction. When we can’t or won’t get more than 5 innings from our starting pitchers, we’re not going to win many games. IndyTwinsFan and Parfigliano 2

tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Unfortunate. Things happen fast. Sometimes i think the catchers need to make a call if a guy isn't throwing well.
CoachDW Verified Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Definitely time for Rocco to go. Pull the pin on his ineptness PLEASE! He couldn't motivate a starving rat to eat a delicious piece of cheese. Enough! Longdistancetwins, Tlaker and Cave Bear 2 1
RpR Verified Member Posted April 19, 2025 Posted April 19, 2025 Do long relief pitchers still exist, or is it only the Twins do not have one?

Felt like maybe we had turned a corner with the offense looking better. This might be the worst loss yet, considering the circumstances knothole61, Twins_Fan_in_NJ, Vanimal46 and 2 others 5
