Twins Calling up Top 100 Prospect Luke Keaschall

I am surprised. Adding another injured player to the roster doesn't seem like it would be helpful.

Not sure why so many people are down on LK.  Otani played all season in ‘24 after TJ in ‘23. LK can play baseball, he just can’t pitch. Thank god he isn’t a pitcher😂

and who ever thinks its ok for him to DH in AAA but not MLB,…. Welp, the Twins need hitters to get on base and score, LK is really really good at that skill. Lets try him out and see how he does. 🤷🏼‍♂️

You're comparing him to a proven MLB, MVP,  player coming off surgery?

That's the 60 day IL.   It only seams like a 60 man IL - easy mistake to make as a Twins fan, 🙂

No point in calling him up unless he plays everyday.  I am thinking everyday DH.  Larnach in RF, Bader in LF.  Keirsey late inning defensive replacement for Larnach. Gasper optioned.

I hope that Keaschal can come up & push Julien & or France off 2B & 1B to the DH spot. Hope is Falvey's primary drive in his transactions. IMO, it'd have benefited Keaschal & Twins more if they had kept Keaschal at AAA longer to ensure his recovery process & have him build up more confidence in AAA; To have him blow the doors off AAA before coming up, His #s are fine but not that impressive.

IMO. it's more now, flaming the spark among the fans to get them to the park, to see a fan favorite, Keaschal. Why waste another roster spot on Bride, if Keaschal is their hope?

Bride is the next available if another injury happens. At the current injury rate, we will be out of position players by june.

There were people around here who were basically "just cut Julian", so it's not surprising they want to replacement in the lineup with the next shiny thing. It's silly, but there's definitely a contingent around here that have no interest in Julian being a Twin.

I hope that with Keaschall coming up that he's playing. Having him watch from the bench doesn't help his development much. Let's see what he can do, whether it's at DH or somewhere else. Not sure where his arm is at, because otherwise I wouldn't mind seeing him in the OF with Wallner down.

Except ohtani had already played at this level, that was my point..... He'd already showed he could. Either way, I'm excited Keaschell is up, and hope the finally have a real hitter. And that they just let him play every day.

No casual fan is coming out for Keaschell. Zero. This is about injury and desperation, imo.

Went to the transaction list to see who they sent down/ILed. Not yet listed, but there was this: 

Thought, what's up with that, then realized that on the 15th, there was a similar list with everyone changing to 42.

Said this in the comments of my Minors report on Tuesday, but I would not want to be relying on Keaschall in the field right now. You can see the arm still has a lot of recovery left to do, IMO.

He is certainly a fun at-bat, though. Looks the part in the box, definitely super-athletic build. Go get 'em, kid!

Wouldn’t Julien DH if Keaschall gives them a better glove? I don’t know which glove is better or how often they would play Keaschall on the field coming back from TJS. I will take whatever I can get on the field as opposed to waiting in AAA assuming his bat is ready. If Julien and Keaschall give them a line up with the best bats I hope they are both in the line up.

Everyone said he hasn’t recovered, he hasn't had enought milb experience. Every excuse available and then he has a great MLB  debut. 
Maybe some injured players should reevaluate how they carry water bottles or walk on slippery sidewalks.
