Finally, a little accountability

Kasper could follow and give us some semblance of a competent bench.. too bad Austin Martin is on the IL.

I've read all the comments and agree with most of them , time is now for a shake up ...

Rocco needs to go and some coaching to ...

Alot of players not doing good , what is the real reason  , manager and coaching , have the players lost respect of their manager and coaches , I say yes they have , Lopez not telling maki he pulled his hammy is a clear sign that they are losing the managerial's respect ...

I almost wish there wasn't a game tomorrow because I like to stay busy but I also like watching baseball but feel I'm wasting my time on my team ...

Blow. It. Up. Let. the. kids. play

1. Trade Pablo

2. Trade Paddack (or release if no takers)

3. Bring up Zebby, Morris, Festa.

4. Trade Velasquez (or release if no takers)

5. Release Gasper and France

6. Desperately try to trade Buxton and Correa (If they don't waive their no trade clause then bench them when they suck like any other player until they waive it)

7. Trade all the relievers that can be traded.

8. Bring up all the legit prospects from AAA (and some from AA)

Yes they will still lose, but they will lose with players who will play hard and appreciate being in the show. They will get experience and the team will learn what they have. I enjoyed following the Twins in 1982-1986 as they gained experience and built toward the WS even though there were some rough seasons.

I would follow that team!

Don’t disagree but you know what, the players can give an effort here. This isn’t August where the season has been dragging along and they’re playing out the string. They’ve been doggy doo doo since day 1, game 1. You can hate your manager’s guts but you should play your best for your own personal pride, if nothing else.

If Correa was on his way to being a HOF’er, but he needs a certain coach or manager to hit better than .164, then maybe he’s not a HOF’er after all. Up and down the lineup and all over the pitching staff, people are displaying a lack of effort, mental alertness and ability to complete routine plays. Rocco should be gone but some of these guys are embarrassing themselves all over the field, and they shouldn’t be too far behind him.

It IS about the roster being managed by a high school quality manager. It's a losing equation.

So I don't know what experiences you have had at any level with baseball, but there are some really good baseball minds who have worked below the MLB level all the way down to high school. I know a couple of people (former MLB players) who named a manager they had below the professional level as the best they ever had in their experience.

It is a long season. I'm not a football fan but 2 losses to start the year in the NFL doesn't mean it is time to forfeit all hope.

What say all you "I'm too smart for that" folks now?

Oh... I've been on the fire Rocco bandwagon for years (to include our playoff season)

To be fair, if this were the NFL, Rocco would have been fired already. Possibly years ago after his first late season collapse.

My Twins fan experience today was to turn on the radio and listen to Attebery talk about the size of Bruce Bochy head for an entire half inning. Turned it off. Got home and turned on the TV just in time to see Miranda’s brilliant baserunning. Turned it off.

The Twins are horrible at fundamentals and have been for years.

The look on Keith’s face as Miranda started to walk off the field. Priceless and reflects my feelings all too well. What are we doing ?

I can understand the physical errors, but a mental error like this (which seem to be happening more often) is inexcusable. IMO it comes down to a lack of concentration. These guys get paid way too much for that.

You can say it was inexcusable, but the booth did their absolute best to make it look like anything other than an embarrassing blunder

I to have advocated that Rocco is a terrible manager since the 2019 playoffs  , when he actually had to manage and that was a disaster with the Yankees  , his first year of managing was a cake walk when the players had career years with the bombas  and he receives an unworthy award for manager of the year based on what ( sure not managing ), Cash or Boone deserved it more  ...

The front office doesn't want to communicate with the fans and give away their secrets , well Baldelli gives away secrets by being a bad manager and gets out managed easily , rocco's close to being the worst manager in twins history  ...

I see the Saints pulled Keaschall early in a close game and sat Lee. Wondering...

Keaschall is scheduled to be pulled early whenever he plays the field, for now. They are building him up to make sure he's healthy. I just don't think he gets the call before he's 100% ready in the field.

I agree with you. I have coached high school level ball players myself. However I am not MLB qualified, as Rocco is not MLB qualified. That is all I meant by my comment. If high school coaches were competent enough to manage an MLB team, they wouldn't be in high school ball.

I agree with everything you said! Except... keep France. He is really the only guy i see giving some effort. Maybe keep Bader too.

Not always. Baseball has to be your life job in order to become an MLB manager. Kind of like becoming a senator. A lot of people have regular 9-5s and just enjoy coaching, while understanding the game very well. I’m sure many average Joe baseball fans could manage in MLB, but teams generally want people who have been around the game at the professional level in some capacity. Works easier in the clubhouse that way

This roster is going to get somebody fired and it will probably be Rocco. However, this roster was built by the front office. Not Rocco’s fault that he can’t field a team of 26 major leaguers.

I think Rocco could coach the Dodgers to a .500 record,, maybe.

I don't see a lack of effort from anybody. Correa had a late double, and he's always alert on defense. I would hope no one is actually questioning the effort.

Jose Miranda makes barely over the league minimum.

Also, if mental errors or lack of concentration got a person fired, would any of us have jobs?

If there isn't an effort problem, then the talent is worse than what we imagine.

He makes $783,110 this year. He is in the top 1% of all US wage earners, earning about 10 times more than the average US worker. The expectations are commensurate with his salary. This is a wild comment.
