I remember watching Mark Buehrle give up six runs early to the Twins one game. He ended up pitching seven innings and got a long streak of consecutive outs. The Sox came back and tied it up in the meantime. I don't remember who won. 

There are some reasons to leave him in. Regular rest puts him in to Sunday anyway.

8/27/2023 Twins down 4 to Texas, won 7-6.

Atlanta came back from 4 down yesterday.

I believe we CAN come back, will we is another question.

He's shrinking in the spotlight, Twins should absolutely be playing Donny Barrels instead of AK - regardless of matchup. Alex has looked horrific and needs the hook immediately.

Wallner and AK have looked overmatched deer in the headlights. They shouldn't be playing again in this series, gotta go with the vets.

I would put some credence into the shadows/striking out thing if the twins…you know…didn’t set the all time record in strikeouts this season

The shadows will go away, they will bring in a reliever, we will bring in different hitters. It is still early.

Yeah we've seen this movie before, unfortunately. 

Sad for the fans that it ended so quickly and abruptly. Didn't even have a chance to get warm in their seats before the game was over. A real shame. Twins need to have Joe Ryan pitch the game of his life tomorrow and then hope to somehow beat Verlander in Game 5 - if necessary. 

It's a big mountain to climb.

Reasonably hard shot down the line. Originally called a hit, but then changed to an error. 

EDIT to add: You pretty much just saw the replay, except that AK got a glove on it last time.

sort of like the O's starter Sunday...Gray's got nuthin today. Astros seem to be able to see the ball just fine. Twins hitters, so far have looked pretty bad.
