No reason to waste Gray any further, or to let this get any more out of hand. Lots of good reasons to pull him here, dont' see many good reasons to keep him in. I remember watching Mark Buehrle give up six runs early to the Twins one game. He ended up pitching seven innings and got a long streak of consecutive outs. The Sox came back and tied it up in the meantime. I don't remember who won. There are some reasons to leave him in. Regular rest puts him in to Sunday anyway.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Kirilloff and wallner have been absolute duds in the postseason TWTwinsFan, 9moons27 and Battle ur tail off 3

Twins won 7-5. 8/27/2023 Twins down 4 to Texas, won 7-6. Atlanta came back from 4 down yesterday. I believe we CAN come back, will we is another question. Battle ur tail off Verified Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Wallner too. Both were awesome at points of the regular season, but both have been really bad in the field and at the plate in the playoffs. Come on boys, pick it up! bighat 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Castro did us all a favor and ended the strikeout streak

He's shrinking in the spotlight, Twins should absolutely be playing Donny Barrels instead of AK - regardless of matchup. Alex has looked horrific and needs the hook immediately. insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 I see where this one is headed, unfortunately. That 3 run homer was a dagger. Twins can't see the ball and all they are doing is striking out. Exactly what all of us were hoping wouldn't happen today. Darn bighat 1
RocRedWing Verified Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 mariners came back from down 8 last year in the playoffs. we still got the juice!

SF Twins Fan Verified Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Does anyone have a replay of the Kiriloff error? I missed it and can't find it anywhere.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 I would put some credence into the shadows/striking out thing if the twins…you know…didn’t set the all time record in strikeouts this season UpstateNewYorker, PDX Twin, bighat and 1 other 4

Sad for the fans that it ended so quickly and abruptly. Didn't even have a chance to get warm in their seats before the game was over. A real shame. Twins need to have Joe Ryan pitch the game of his life tomorrow and then hope to somehow beat Verlander in Game 5 - if necessary. It's a big mountain to climb.

Reasonably hard shot down the line. Originally called a hit, but then changed to an error. EDIT to add: You pretty much just saw the replay, except that AK got a glove on it last time.
Battle ur tail off Verified Member Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Even that one. Granted, it was a TOUGH play, but dive and get a damn glove on it.
