I think Maeda will get two innings, maybe three if his pitch count is low, and then be held out tomorrow so he can be ready if needed on Tuesday. Beyond that they'll manage the pitches with next week in mind. I expect Ober will get as many innings as he can give us tomorrow because he'll almost certainly be kept off the roster for the first round. So hopefully we'll only need a little bullpen help tomorrow.

Twins pre-game - Polanco and Farmer are going to be assistant managers today. They will listen in on every decision by Rocco and Tingler. They may or may not participate in those discussions.

Of note is that, as of now, Toronto is now the most likely Twins opponent. I will update later in the evening.

I wont see any due to the Fdup MLB blackout.  Just like last night and tomorrow.  Yes, I am bitter.

The tops definitely look somewhat bizarre.  Plus, the dark green is definitely not a normal look for the franchise.

Agree on the pants, but I like the tops, which reflect the Colo. license plates.. White pants would be much better.

I think Julien knows the strike zone better than the umps. Still frustrating to see so many called third strikes.

I cannot think of another Twin that would improve his OBP more than Julien if they went to the minor league Robo Umps.

He got hosed on that 3-2 pitch called, and that is the umpteenth time that has happened this season.  He has a terrific eye, better than the umps apparently.....

But it doesn't matter if you can distinguish balls from strikes. It's just if you can distinguish what the umpire thinks is a ball from what the umpire thinks is a strike!

Well, that pitch was NOT a strike by any objective basis.  It was low.

Julien was right. Ump was wrong.  If you need to make a Vulcan mind-meld with each ump, good luck with that.

I’m at the game. Paddock’s pitches sound heavy. 11 minute fireworks show last night after the game, to bad for the Rockies the Twins won that game.

Guy has gotten a bad rap. He started with the Twins on Opening Day until he came down with pneumonia in May. My biggest fear is that the Twins take the advice of posters here and trade him.*

Noticed that after getting a close-up look at them.  Hence, I've changed my initial assessment.
