Houston beats Arizona 1-0. Houston is in, Seattle is out.

Houston just beat Arizona. With the Mariners losing, I think that means we open up with the Astros.

Nope. At least not yet.

If Houston wins tomorrow and Texas loses tomorrow Houston gets the 2 seed via the tiebreaker. Texas then gets the 5 seed and we play Toronto.

If Houston loses tomorrow Texas gets the 2 seed, Toronto gets the 5 seed and we get Houston.

So it's either Toronto or Houston. We spilt with the Jays and beat the Astros. Dats good. I guess we may as well get Houston and spank them. I would love to beat them. They are going to go for the division and the bye so they gotta pitch Valdez, right? If true we won't see him and don't get Verlander until game 3.

A much better inning for Keuchel, guess he was just getting warmed up now that the game is over. Not pretty but glad he ate up the last innings and glad we scored 2 touch downs.

Interesting. Baldelli let Keuchel finish the game, allowing his lefty to make some adjustments that proved effective. Keuchel really is a competitive badger. He went out in the ninth with an "I'm better than you" attitude, and got the side out.

Good finish. No chicken tonight. Too many calories.

I'm reading it differently. The Twins won't face Texas in the first round, but get either Toronto or Houston.

Just texted my astros fan buddy. He thinks they will be going for the win tomorrow as the division win and a week's rest is worth it. Also it might be JP France pitching instead of Framber. Lots to still shake out.

Sounds like Ober starts tomorrow, with Varland likely getting at least one inning.

I'm guessing that means we likely won't see Ober until at least game 2, unless something pretty bizarre happens before then.

Knock on wood and all, but this is really set up nice for the Twins. All fun and games with players acting as managers and scoring 2 touchdowns while the competition has to pitch it's Hall of Famer and smokin lefty. I was going to add more, but don't want to push my luck

Between Ober and Ryan as #3 playoff starter, right now I'm favoring Ober. Ryan's been having home run problems lately. Ober may give up a few more hits, but he keeps 'em in the park. 

Maybe this is Ryan's hint: Learn to throw a fork ball!
