I think they'll get the game in, though it might end up being a late start. The rain is supposed to be sporadic after noon and stop in late afternoon.

Agreed.  I do wonder that since it's the Tigers, they'll be less inclined to play in poor conductions but think they will try.

Because any given game this time of year can more easily be made up?

Nah, it's easier to ignore that it was ever scheduled in the first place!

No Buxton?  What’s he, a pinch runner now? DH isn’t working out.  Maybe he has to play in the field to be Buxton.  What a concept huh? Seriously I don’t know if there is a physical or sensible based reason to keep a player like that non contributing, but how about getting him in center field if physical able.  If he gets injured he gets injured.  It wouldn’t be worse than the current contribution.  Taylor could play some games out there and I would love to see both at once in the outfield.  Kepler at this point anyway could be a defensive replacement for AK.  Let’s get this team’s head right and with their starting pitching (if they’re allowed to pitch) go in for the kill in this division and then see what happens.

Interesting lineup for the Twins. No Lewis, no Buxton, also no Solano. All three of those guys could pinch hit for Gallo, Kepler, or Julien.

Buxton is becoming a real concern. His AB's are awful. Could he use some time in St. Paul to reset?

That ship has sailed. The team decided to activate him without rehab (he was out less than two weeks) and with the injury that disabled him should have had little chance of recurrence. I believe vets must agree to a rehab assignment.

They can’t just send him down at this point. He would have to go in the IL and then do a true rehab assignment. That’s what I would propose. But, in the meantime, he’s getting the day off today. Hoping yesterday’s awesome game helps motivate for this final one.

Hopefully win today and can split series with DET.  Truthfully splitting with DET seems like losing the series in a big picture view of things.

Well, I get that. But hopefully the season between then is a win. Playing the long game 🙂

There has to be an actual injury. I suppose Buck could say his ribs still hurt (they probably do), but he's not experienced additional injury since being activated.

I agree with Mr. Bremer. I like the City Connect uniforms.

Lol, I was just going to say that. My favorites!

Well, that’s what I was trying to say … it could be the injury still bothers him

I wish they would stop pitching to Baez right now

And do what, IBB? I’d rather pitch to him and try for the out, but then, I don’t know if that’s the strategy either

Pitching him low and/or outside doesn't work because he swings at everything so there's no good option but he's had the Twins number this weekend
