Just about the lineup I expected. I thought they might go with Castro at second and Julien at DH, but this is fine. Solano is swinging it better than Castro right now. Gausman is a tough customer, but except for his last outing at Target Field, the Twins have done well against him. Toronto has used a lot of bullpen arms in the first two games, so I'd like to see the Twins hitters get another look at them.

Derek Falvey picked up the phone.  It was one of his bird dog scouts in the Dominican Republic.  "Boss, you gotta sign this schoolkid!  He just struck out all 27 batters for a 9 inning perfect game!  Only one batter got so much as a foul ball off of him!"  "You numbskull," Falvey replied, "send me the name of the kid who hit that foul!  I keep telling you, we need hitting!"

This is the best lineup we can run out with the players we currently have, although one could quibble that Castro should be playing RF instead of Kepler. Castro has been slumping though so it makes sense to play Kepler after his two hits yesterday.

We should have a little more to play next week wehn Gallo is back and replaces I would assume Garlick. Castro can play the RH OF against LH starters role.  Any word on Buston coming back or who he'd replace? The choices will start starting to get interesting. Things will get even more interesting if Julien hits while Polanco is out and Miranda keeps hitting in AAA. Both Solano and Castro have played pretty well, although Castro is regressing. It will not be interesting to see what happens if and when we ever get to full strength.

Agreed.  All things considered, I don't think I can reasonably ask for much more.

If there isn't another injury, I would think the odd man out will be Larnach. I have assumed that both Buxton and Gallo will be playing as soon as they return from their road trip. Gallo might end up playing first, with Kirilloff in left again, but they should have most everyone except Polanco on board for the home stand.

I agree...this is probably the best that we can throw out there, with the possible exception of Jeffers instead of Vazquez. Louie needs to keep the ball in the park and not have any melt-downs, and we need to get some runs for him off of Gausman. A sweep would be real nice!

This is a big start for Louie V after that last one and Maeda pumping the 91.5 HEAT on rehab.

Varland's meltdowns have been quick and not always that devastating.  He needs to refocus quickly and maybe a Maki mound visit could be a little more timely.  When he is on, he's fun to watch pitch.

Again, get Gallo totally healthy before bringing him back. Then, play him in the OF and Kirilloff at 1B which gives the Twins their best defense.

YOur probably right about Larnach as the odd man out unless he really heats up at the plate. What do we do when Polanco is ready if Julien hits?

Probably not much they can do with Polanco at this point.  He's another that they should just let him get healthy.  Hamstring injuries just take time.

Who’s doing radio with Cory? He’s butchering names as bad as gladden does. Bo-shett and gowz-man

Well...Kep decided that all good things must come to an end. Maybe Vazquez can keep it going.

Let's get the brooms out today and get the sweep, it would be a good way to end the road trip and momentum for the homestand upcoming

Shhhhhhh … I love the thought but don’t throw a jinx on it! 🙂
