tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Clevland has a fun team. They have the youngest team in baseball and a top five (possibly best) farm system. Their team is athletic with more on the way. Their pitchers are good and they have some top prospects on the way. Oh, they have a low payroll and it could stay low while their players get better. I hope the Twins can sweep in Cleveland.

So it's a just a combination of lack of talent (mental or physical), Injuries, bad luck and mismanagement. Somehow we have a chance to make the playoffs LOL Where we are a week from tomm, will be the key

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 3x 1st and 3rd 1 out, and here we are
RpR Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 This is the way the Twins have to play to make the post season.
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 You know I get Jake Cave is just below the cusp of MLB talent. But man what a likable guy and just busting his balls any time he gets a call up. and I realize that doesn't win games. He looked like he was running from live gun fire trying to score that run. He contributes.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Close means nothing at this point. 9th was fun, but it means nothing. A team out of sync. This is basically the season right here. Like with Kepler, close doesn't account for squat.
TWTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Hamilton the tying run, he is here to steal second base ,and Kepler one pitch out, WTF is Kepler thinking

TWTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 if Rocco not let Hamilton run, he is basically useless
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Hypothetical questions -- Why did we wait until the bottom of the ninth to decide to play offense, too? Too difficult in innings 1 through 8?

TWTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 this is total system failure, I must say, no matter how they lose

Too difficult in innings 1 through 8? Well, both teams had 6 hits going into the 9th. Cleveland got one in the top of the inning, and Twins 6 in the bottom, so out hit them. But never strung the 6 previous together. Archer/Sands/Pagan/Megill. Thats what we offer in the pennant race in September. If the rally meant something of value, it would have carried over from last night into today's game. Sad weekend for the home team. And the White Sox win. The hole is down to about 5 feet. 6 feet is "right in front of them." And Duran still hasn't seen the ball in the series. Not that they ever put a game in position to use him. You can't sleep until the 9th when you have pitcher you put in the game (look at Sands numbers in AAA. he shouldn't even be in the Show) that gives up 4 walks and 2 hit batters in the inning. Lucky that it wasn't more than 2 runns there.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 The Twins have been on a 90 loss pace (42-53) since May 25.
Peter Verified Member Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Unacceptable losses especially at home!!! Need to win these but twins have failed. I hope I’m wrong but sweep happens tomorrow. Need to finish strong/with 8 game winning streak next week/that means sweeping Cleveland next weekend!

I try to scroll to the bottom of the longest pages I’ve ever seen and when I get halfway it boots me back to the top. Anybody else have this issue? I have run into it on occasion, and yeah, it is frustrating. I think i reload, and am patient for all the page to finish loding before scrolling. But i also encounter that sort of behavior on mlb's gameday, (in particular when trying to go through all the plays) which suggests my web browser might be handling something poorly.
