The best way to give Pagan a message….make him finish this game

Rocco bring a suitcase out to the mound with a Plane ticket,

There’s simply no role where pagan excels.

He’s trying to pitch til the shadows completely cover the mound so his offense has an advantage

Many have complained here about Rocco Baldelli's timing and selection when it comes to the bullpen.  The offensive listlessness also falls on him.  There's no verve, momentum or passion, game after game.  Gaetti would rip these guys to shreds.

I've been a supervisor for many years, once over more than 30 people.  In my estimation, languorous team performance is correlated strongly with desultory leadership.  No matter the sabermetrics, an atmosphere of aimlessness will destroy any hope of success.  From my vantage point, Baldelli must go...soon.

While I'm ****** off and in the mood for a good rant:

The arrogance with which this front office and this manager pretend stolen bases don't matter really irritates me.

We don't ever run, and we act like it doesn't matter anyone who wants to can run at will on us.

We don't teach ask our pitchers to hold runners. We don't pitch out. Our weak armed catchers have one knee on the ground in SB situations because pitch framing.

It'll get ignored because of the pen and the offense, but that entire 7th inning debacle today was made infinitely worse because we can't or won't defend against SBs. And it happens regularly.

I'm tired of pretending analytics means you don't have to still play the game.

Replace him with Les Steckel

He'd have the third highest HR allowed rate at the AS Game HR Derby. He'd be good at that role.

But but how do you really feel about it?

It feels like this game has been going forever, was there a delay or something? Seems like they’ve been in the 9th for 45 minutes.

Literally saw some YouTube stuff last night from the 1984 NFL season. His biggest contribution was having the players wear white shoes and stand at attention during the anthem

Well it sure wasn't the bottom half of innings that slowed the pace.

I think baldelli gets another year. Rest of the coaching staff needs to be changed, but I highly doubt rocco will get canned after this year. Not that I believe he’s the guy we need, it’s just not likely

..... and it was only 1-0 with one out in the 7th......

So if the Twins would have scored a couple in the last three innings, that would mean something, all it means now is if the Twins had a good bullpen showing they would have lost 1-0

Sadly, I think you are correct….just postponing the inevitable though ?

Well said.  It's pretty glaring when you have Gladden asking Rocco to bring us world series win and the team responds with their flattest most lifeless effort of the year. (and that's saying a lot)

BTW, a though Correa could hit.
