He just referred to them as the "Ham Fighters." Grilling ham steak for dinner tonight. Smithfield not Nippon.

But as 3rd basemen go, he’s not particularly valuable offensively. Ranked at/ near the bottom of the AL in WRC+ among qualified 3B (granted, several clubs don’t have a qualifying 3B). As a complementary piece, usually hitting 8th, fine. The problem with the Twins is there aren't the primary pieces for the middle of the lineup.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Kepler playing a deep 2nd base
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Stole a hit from Seager, lol
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Phew. That's enough for today from Ryan.

Absolutely…with this roster, for 2023, you’d probably like Miranda to be capable over there, and have a true slugger at 1B…(not to mention DH)
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 That's what I'm talkin' about!!! A pitcher that is ready to be a baseball player. Fielding the batted ball instead of thinking you are done after you pitch the ball. GO JOE RYAN!!!

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Hey Team, how about helping your Pitcher out, Were all sick of this anemic offense, And leading off, Leon,
jkcarew Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Still, pretty good for a guy that’s supposed to be turning into Nick Blackburn.
CRF Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Calling the offense anemic, is giving them too much credit.

The challenge is that they have to make the decision before having a full sense of their ability to sign alternatives.

Tlaker Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 No problem for this Ranger pitching for the third time through….pathetic
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Glad to see Ryan with his one-hitter starting the 7th.
srjr19 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Two singles and 65 pitches for a guy who would have trouble getting the St Paul Saints out. WTF?
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Nice arm Urshella even if didnt get out
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 I hope they’re looking at this

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2022 Posted August 21, 2022 Count that run now. Barely fair, stolen base (of course), and ground out, runner to third. And Megill with a runner on third and one out. Probably first batter and the run in........ IRS is not relief.
