sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Buxton is on base! I'd like to see Cleveland just try to throw him out...

Had he been legging it out of the box and gotten thrown out that would be one thing, but that wasn't what happened, watch the reply. Spot on, !!!!!!!!!!!

mnfireman Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Miranda's baserunning on that pick-off was horrible. Time for a little lesson, on the bench, watching closely.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Pilkington allowed eight hits and walked four in 4 1/3 innings. Add in two outs on the bases and the Twins reached more than they made outs.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2022 Author Posted June 29, 2022 Good news, bad news. They've gotten to Cleveland's bullpen. Hopefully that pays dividends later in the series.
PopRiveter Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Big moment coming up. Hope they can distance themselves from that baserunning meltdown
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Of course they hit into a double play, predictable.
Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Sorry I'm late to the party. Great to see Polanco back.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 After further review I am blind and frankly too old, the runner is safe
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 4-0 lead is getting comfortable, but not Duffey/Pagán comfortable.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2022 Author Posted June 29, 2022 At least they were able to tack on one run.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 I wasn't expecting much out of Winder with his meh starts in AAA, but he's been really good tonight. Even if he doesn't immediately rejoin the rotation, he NEEDS to be in the bullpen a few days from now simply to serve as the long man.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Okay, I’ll say it. The HP ump hasn’t missed many in the box. He’s called a few outside the zone, but every pitch in the zone has been called a strike. Usually when I complement a home plate ump for calling a good game, he immediately misses calls that hurt the Twins.

When Bundy inevitably blows up, we can slide Winder right back in.
