The meth labs and abandoned trucks just give the fish that distinctive Red River flavor though!

Back in my UND daze, I lived in a downtown apartment with the Red as my backyard.  I used to catch those mucky things for my dinner on a regular basis, saving big $$ as a starving student.  I think I was actually munching on one watching the news, when they talked about the chemical runoff, and not to eat any fish out of there more than once a month or so.

Ulp...

Why do I have to re-log into Bally sports so often? And why won’t it accept the validation code?

Worst app. Baseball needs a provider not run by mobsters.

Clicking around MLB tonight, caught Odorizzi pitching in Boston, just as he collapsed covering first base on a grounder to the right side.  He was lifted onto a stretcher and carted away in a tie game.

Looked liker a major hammy tear.

Just consider it a marinade and never think of it again!

Hey I thought we were benching Buxton today to align with fans' grievances! Inconsistent management!

I believe that is what they call a "curve ball" in the biz!

Well, not really for a UND student. :)

Full disclosure...I'm a NDSU grad. :)

Why did the wonderful old flip shades fall out of favor with players? Don’t understand the purpose of wearing sunglasses on top of the bill of the cap and then losing a ball in the sun because you can’t see it??‍♂️

Holy Molitor, Batman.  Garlick batting 3rd.

I hope he crushes one.  Or slices one off the foul pole.  My he can chop one down the line for a double.  As long as he doesn't wind up being minced by one of those 'crafty lefties.'

Archer just seems so rushed out there. Burning extra energy. Yoga?

Interesting ... my feed tonight ... no commercials! Just silence with an image on the screen saying 'Commercial Break in Progress' ... not complaining ... just surprised

Garlick's been in the 3/4 spot usually vs lefties, since he pulverizes them. And it's not like we have many better options, though I don't know why Lewis is still down in the #8 spot.

And by the way, my baseball novel, the one I’ve been working on for 30 years, has finally been published as a Kindle book on Amazon.

If it’s as entertaining as the GT intro, it’s a winner. I look forward to giving it a shot. If it’s cool with the moderators to shamelessly plug it this way, I’d certainly be in favor of your putting together a blog about it, so it would be easier to remember where to find the link.

Just don't eat it or you will wake up naked in a field*

Well Christ on a cracker Celestino got a hit.

He's actually had a pretty good year with the stick. He's hitting .347 on the year.

Welcome to TD.

Go Hawks.

Looking forward to my first taste of Dane’s Dairy this weekend.

Ever go to the Cheese Factory southwest of town on Highway 1? If so, you were within three miles of the farm I grew up on.

Then, of course, there is the Yankee black hole in the 4-5 spots...

Believe it or not, in a very small sample size, Gilberto Celestino has hit quite well this season. 147 wRC+ or 47% better than league average (by position and ballpark).

further, using my handy splits tool on fangraphs I find that Celestino has been dreadful at home against Lefties batting .114, but away against Lefties he’s hitting a respectable .250.

Hmm ... wouldn't expect that ... now ... if I ate my cbd lotion with thc, I could see that ... but I'm not going to be eating either. I'll save my stomach for that pan-fried catfish and rhubarb custard pie

Ironically, my wife wants me to have a go at our rhubarb patch today. She has three recipes she uses, one from her mother, one from my mother and one from a former secretary of mine and all three are to die for. Can't wait! She also does a rhubarb pie with meringue that a California business acquaintance of mine, originally from Wells, MN, has actually flown back to Minnesota to sample. Claimed Californios don't know how to make good rhubarb desserts.

Can't say as I have ever tried catfish though.

My mom constantly made a rhubarb custard meringue. She is an awesome cook, second-best in the world, actually,* but I just couldn’t dig it. Got me soured on all things rhubarb.

Then this lady at church made a rhubarb crisp. Oh my, was I so wrong.

*My wife has taken Mom’s pumpkin pie recipe to a whole new level. Sorry, what’s been happening in the game? I lost all focus while thinking about the pie.
