During one of the spring games they had Rod Carew in the booth during an Arraez at-bat. Rod was absolutely gushing both about his talent and his attitude. Something to the effect of "You can see him thinking on every pitch. Everything I've suggested to him he has put into effect right away." The next batter was Sano, and Rod had little to say beyond "He doesn't listen to anything anyone says and just goes up there and swings as hard as he can."
