I can think of a few reasons why not. Why pull a starter who gives up 1 hit, is someone else going to do better? It just doesn’t make sense to me, unless you’re treating the first few games as extended spring training games, in which case you should be fired.

Because Bundy has a history of getting teed up on the 3rd time through the lineup.  He wasn't exactly blowing hitters away as evident by the 2 K's and you have 3 extra pitchers on the roster with the limited spring training.  Let Bundy build on this outing and give the extended pen a little work.  I see nothing wrong with it.

Ah man, I'm not going to complain, but I am not a huge fan of using Duran in an uber low leverage situation.

I am. I think it’s the perfect opportunity. It’s only his 2nd ML appearance

Perhaps Celestino should've been in LF in the 9th the other day, Rocco.

Nice hindsight call ?

Twins WIN.

Bundy with the best start of the year without blowing hitters away or getting a ton of swings and missed. The lineup put together some great at-bats in the 1st inning and in the middle of the game. Buxton is still amazing. Arraez is a joy to watch. Just need Kiriloff, Sano, and Correa to get things clicking. Bullpen did their job once again. Only negative is the defense, which should be good most of the time.

Until tomorrow (hopefully),

Enjoy your CHICKEN!

I bet Correa is not hitting better as he is letting Sano and Kiriloff beat the slumps , then he will turn it on.

Nice play Celestino! I'm surprised Arraez didn't crash into him!

Arraez backed off when Kiriloff blew a play, he is not a putz; I think his bad moves from last year are etched in his mind and he has no plans to repeat.

Nice win! Now let's sweep the Dodgers!

Speaking of Dodgers, the second to last pitch Duran threw (102 mph) was officially the fastest in Twins history, passing Brusdar's 101.9 mph. Took him two innings to surpass that.

The Twins record after April 24, a little less than two weeks from now, will show if they are firing on all cylinders or hit and miss.
