If he pitches the 7th is that a complete game without an asterisk?

Still an inning to go.

Sorry, I just get so excited thinking about Colome time!!!!!!!

This outing reminds me of Johan Santana. He would pitch a 2 hitter, both homers, and lose the game (or win, but too many times would get no run support). "deGrom'ed" before deGrom.

Berrios is by far the most consistent starter we have, and all teams would love to have him. I know I want to see him paid and stay.

Berrios out for 7th.  Best decision Baldelli has made this season, outside of zippering his pants.

Pants should always be zippered when outside

Is he pitching well, because he's pitching quickly, or is he pitching quickly, beacuse he's pitching well?

Maybe it's just me, but every time Rocco keeps a starter out there longer than you'd expect him to, they blow it most the time.

I've said it before...the most disappointing player on this team is Berrios.

Just a complete implosion.

Because they are conditioned to go 5 or 6 and call it a night. Not just Rocco, every manager anymore

He waited for the worst possible time to have his usual implosion. He looked awful the minute he took the mound in the 7th. Lost his composure quickly, as he often does...and it got ugly real fast. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Sox hit 3 out against Jose. When Falvey said nothing has lined up right this season...he wasn't kidding.

Not really the way you expect your average would-be staff ace to finish up, not when in order to resign him it's going to cost a chunk of money.

Exhibit 1001 on why it absolutely matters how much you spend on a guy like Berrios. He was at 80+ pitches with a chance to take matters into his own hands against some guys that wouldn’t even be playing except for injuries. He’s good. He’s not someone that is going to match up with the top of the rotation of contending teams.
