I would still rather have berrios out there than anyone else.  Its not like he had 130 pitches.  He was at 80.

I suggest not offering him ace money. He can sign or leave. If he leaves, you can spend the ace money on an ace, or 1 1/2 - 2 solid starters…or (heaven forbid) keeping an ace you develop. You don’t overpay simply because you have no depth at the position. That’s a recipe for taking a two year slump and turning it into 5,6,7 years of irrelevance.

Agreed. He 100% percent was the guy that Rocco should have trotted out there in that situation. No argument there.
