A guy getting his first major league AB with the bases juiced in a playoff game is just another management/FO breakdown, IMO.

Why the heck wouldn’t you get the kid some ABs during the regular season if you’re going to use him over Jake Cave in the biggest game of the year?

If not for Buxton HBP right after they sent down Wade, then Kirilloff wouldn't even be on the roster.

And I think Baldelli isn't starting Kirilloff over Cave, as much as he wants a backup plan while Kirilloff is in the game. Once Cave enters the game (and he will), I think he'll be in to stay.

ANOTHER POLANCO LEFT HANDED A.B. AND ANOTHER SHOULDER DROP, Gotta be 10-15 of them the last month, or am i just watching the same a.b. over and over, mind boggling,

Front side is flying open way too soon.

This should have been a fairly easy fix for a hitting coach.

Twins hitters in full form so far. Nothing looks different from the punchless lineup they have trotted out there recently

Berrios two solid innings. Need that

Starting Kirilloff so they can insert Cave??

That's as bass ackwards as pinch hitting Garver so you can insert Avila so you can PH Turtle.

I hope to GOD that's not the thought pattern.

I am not watching the game today just following along here - one to hopefully change our fortune and two because I just couldn't stand to see us lose our 18th playoff game in a row.  And it is the way we play that makes it so hard to watch.   Looks like nothing has changed so far ....

Berrios has seemed to struggle when the offense struggles. That's when he tries to be "perfect" with each pitch, knowing he could lose 1-0. Of course, I'm only basing that on the "eye test" and memory; I have nothing to back that up with.

Uh, then why not start Cave?   I'd have much rather had Cave hitting 6th.  Or Jeffers, or Gonzo or Polanco...someone that has been in that spot before.

Yeah, I know, a lot of guys hit a home run in their first major league at bat... but it's something that gets noticed because it doesn't happen that often.

Can't wait to see Garver pinch hit for Jeffers in the 4th. Then Avila pinch hit for Garver in the 7th. Then Astudillo pinch hit for Avila with the bases loaded in the 9th.
