USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Diaz sending him was ambitious2 out, send him every time with the misplay.
T_J Provisional Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 And another strike called, this time on Rosie, that was a ball an inning or two ago.The zone for Grienke seems to be expanding
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I like that Greinke was starting to feel like he'd expanded the zone, but that Kepler and Cruz didn't give in. My guess is that Zack was starting to picture himself coasting to 7 scoreless before Kep's well-deserved walk.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 They better not keep this playoff format going forward
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Nice clutch two out hit by Nellie and the speed of Kepler gives the good guys the 1-0 lead. (having a lead is always good!)
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 They better not keep this playoff format going forwardAlmost certainly won't. But there will almost certainly be an expanded post season.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Not great defense by Reddick there. Nice job Nellie!I was screaming "score, score" as soon as the ball bounced over Reddick's head. Gotta send him with two outs even with Rosario on deck.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 They better not keep this playoff format going forwardI heard someone suggest keeping this round, expanding it to best of five, but the home team gets a free win, making it a best of four + 1. I kinda like that idea though 16 teams are still too much.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 White Sox lead, as expected
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 They better not keep this playoff format going forwardThe 3 game series is a slap in the face to the best teams. Might as well make it 3 coin flips. I’m okay with 12, maybe 14 teams to promote competitive play. Not the series length.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 The zone for Grienke seems to be expandingHe's doing the whole stare down thing when he gets a call he doesn't like and the ump is starting to respond.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Boy that looked like a swing.
dex8425 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 He's doing the whole stare down thing when he gets a call he doesn't like and the ump is starting to respond.Wonder if that means more coming from a future hall of famer. Hope not.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 Boy that looked like a swing.Sure did.
bighat Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 They better not keep this playoff format going forwardI have a feeling a lot of MLB employees in the advertising/network side of things are already working on their sales pitches to keep this format in the future. It's a slap in the face to the game, the fans, and the players but they don't watch the game, they watch their bank statements and it always comes down to $$$.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I don’t mind the expanded playoffs sticking around ,14 teams give the best record a bye. But is there any doubt that Houston should be the bottom seed. Give the bye to the best record, home series to the other first place teams and the second place team with the best record, the other 3 spots should be by their record whether they came in second third or even fourth
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 How does that sneak through??
TFRazor Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Wonder if that means more coming from a future hall of famer. Hope not. You'd better believe it does. He's got the ump second thinking himself so he's expanding. What he should do is tighten it even more until greinke stops.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I'm blessed with the BEST BOSS in the world. I bought a flat screen TV to the office today with my Roku stick, and am sitting here watching the Twins. JcS (yeah, OK, I confess, I AM the boss...but still, I was good to me) Hopefully you are HR too.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Looks like Maeda is overthrowing
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 It’s looking like 5 innings, unless he can throw a quick GIDP here
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Is Maeda going to be able to finish 6?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Game has slowed to slower than a snails pace
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Is Maeda going to be able to finish 6?I'm going to guess no, unless the Twins add on 4 or 5 runs
