Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 I disagree, looked out to me in real time and it wasThe replay clearly showed it was ridiculously close, like an inch or two. When a run is in question, challenge every time.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Didn't score but a lot to like in that first inning.First we made Greinke throw a ton of pitches. Second, Buxton got a single and stole a base on the next pitch. Thats what we want to see. Rosario hit into bad luck...a bullet that just wasn't in the right place. And Sano did not strike out on the 3-2 pitch and he didn't bite for pitches outside the zone. All good. Cruz still isn't getting any kind of good wood on his swings...but he drew the walk. Also good. We'll get some runs! A
TFRazor Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Sano's home to first was 28.9 FT/S...elite is 30. Can't say he didn't run hardWho knew he could move that quick? That's a lot of beef to get moving.
dex8425 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 All of those were good AB's from the Twins there. Rosie crushed that ball. Unlucky. We'll get lucky later in the game.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Maeda is good as usual
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Frankly, I don’t even know how the ump got that call right unless it was just pure luck. A lot of it is using your ears as well as your eyes. With no fans in the stands, it's a lot easier to hear the ball in the glove vs the foot on the bag.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 Who knew he could move that quick? That's a lot of beef to get moving.Sano is deceptively fast, much faster than several guys we consider speedy or at least average.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 You're not kidding about the tight strike zone.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Oakland wins there division and gets a early game west coast time, and of course 2 teams from the central and east get the Prime timer--

When a run is in question, challenge every time.you’re one of those gotta have the last word guys huh, I disagree, you can reply if you like, but you won’t change my mind
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Hooo boy how do you not call that a strike?
TFRazor Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Sano is deceptively fast, much faster than several guys we consider speedy or at least average.Sorry but when I read "deceptively fast" I just heard John Madden's voice in my head. Thanks for that.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Should be batting right now
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 **** this zone.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 This zone is insanely small
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Can’t have 20 pitches/inning, although not his fault
dex8425 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Holy cow. Kenta clearly pissed about that call. As mad as he gets, that is.
SF Twins Fan Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 This strike zone is tight.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 The replay clearly showed it was ridiculously close, like an inch or two. When a run is in question, challenge every time. But the replay clearly showed he was out. Your replay guy has to say "no." Why waste one, with zero chance of success?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 Sorry but when I read "deceptively fast" I just heard John Madden's voice in my head. Thanks for that.Hah, fair enough... it’s just kinda humorous to see Rosario and Sano next to each other and realize Sano is faster.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Boy do we need some runs
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Kenta was forced to throw an extra 10 pitches there because of a missed strike three. In the regular season...meh. In the playoffs, that is another inning possibly.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 As long as it stays tight for Greinke, no problem.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted September 29, 2020 Author Posted September 29, 2020 But the replay clearly showed he was out. Your replay guy has to say "no." Why waste one, with zero chance of success?I find that weird. Wonder if the replay guy couldn’t pick it up quickly enough but you’d think it’s their job to nix that challenge.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Maeda led or was close to leading the a.l. in not walking people, so was Greinke, hopefully we can get at least 5 from our guy
